The KIU Diamer Campus will be closed for the winter holidays from Monday, 29th December 2025, to Friday, 6th February 2026.

Please note that administrative staff will remain on duty during this period to assist with any urgent administrative or examination-related matters.

Karakoram International University Diamer Campus Inaugural "Business Gala 2025" Drives Entrepreneurship and Forges Key Partnerships
The Department of Business Management at Karakoram International University's Diamer Campus has successfully concluded its inaugural mega event, "Business Gala 2025." The Gala, a vibrant showcase of innovation and enterprise, was organized to shift the paradigm from job-seeking to job creation and to energize the local economy.
The event featured an impressive array of traditional stalls and dynamic business models conceived and operated by the university's students. The primary goal was to provide a practical platform for young aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into viable ventures, especially in the face of current economic uncertainties.
The Diamer Campus extends its profound gratitude to the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) and all stakeholders whose collaboration and support were instrumental in making this first-ever event a resounding success.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor of KIU, Eng. Prof. Dr. Atta Ullah Shah. In his address, he highly commended the event for its exceptional organization and discipline. He also lauded the Department of Business Management for its visionary initiative and successful ex*****on.
A key highlight of the Gala was the award ceremony, held in collaboration with AKRSP. Promising entrepreneurs, whose business ideas were selected through a highly competitive process, were awarded seed funding cheques to help launch their ventures.
Further cementing the commitment to skill development and education, a significant MoU was signed during the event. The agreement for an Early Childhood Development Diploma program was formalized by VC KIU, Eng. Prof. Dr. Atta Ullah Shah, and the AKRSP Program Manager, Mr. Pyar Ali. This partnership marks a strategic step towards enhancing educational opportunities in the region.

The spirit of competition and sportsmanship soared at the Karakoram International University, Diamer Campus, during its recently concluded week-long Sports Gala. Students demonstrated impressive skill and enthusiasm in a wide range of events, including Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Cricket, and the traditional game of Bursa.
The event fostered intense but friendly inter-departmental rivalry and a strong sense of campus community. The grounds were filled with cheers as students showcased their athletic talents. A highlight of the week was a special friendly volleyball match between KIU Diamer Campus and Public School and College, Chilas. The match was a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship, ultimately won by the visiting team from Public School and College
The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests who honored the achievers. Director WAPDA Rahim Shah, Principal of Public Schools and College DR. Col. Malik Jawed, and Project Manager AKRSP Mr. Pyar Ali distributed trophies and medals among the winners and runners-up.
The Department of Educational Development emerged as the overall champion. Faculty and students praised the event for promoting healthy competition and unity, marking the sports week as a resounding success for the campus.

In a meeting focused on institutional support, the General Manager of WAPDA met with the Director of the Karakoram International University (KIU) Diamer Campus. The discussions centered on resolving operational and infrastructural challenges faced by the campus.

Today, the BBA 7th semester students demonstrated their creativity and business insight through an engaging Video Making Competition organized under the subject of E-Commerce. The event highlighted their innovative ideas and digital skills. The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the HoD Management Sciences, Dr. Talib Hussain along with Dr. Shahid Khoja awarded prizes to the winning teams, appreciating their efforts and creativity.
