Alhamdulillah

Today, the viva voce of six M.S. Chemistry scholars who successfully completed their research work in the Computational Chemistry Lab, University of Education, Dera Ghazi khan campus was conducted successfully.

Our successful scholars:
🔹 Fiza Ali – 1 publication (Impact Factor: 4.6)
🔹 Dua Tahreem – 1 publication (Impact Factor: 4.6)
🔹 Mashal Farooq – 7 publications (2 published online, 1 under peer review, and 4 submitted to the supervisor for final submission)
🔹 Rehana Sattar – 1 publication (ready for submission)
🔹 Maria Hafeez
🔹 Mahjabeen

A remarkable milestone has been achieved in the history of Dera Ghazi Khan Campus: one student has produced seven research publications in less than one year, reflecting the dedication of the student and the outstanding research environment of the lab.

Special appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to our respected supervisor, Dr. Riaz Hussain, whose vision, guidance, continuous support, and inspiring leadership have made these achievements possible.

Today, I am proud to introduce our Computational Chemistry Research Laboratory at the University of Education, Dera Ghazi Khan Campus, under the leadership of Dr. Riaz Hussain sahib.

With his vision, dedication, and hard work, Dr. Riaz Hussain established a state-of-the-art computational chemistry laboratory in university of education Dera Ghazi Khan campus. This lab has become a center of excellence for research, providing students and researchers with modern computational facilities and an outstanding academic environment.

This laboratory has achieved remarkable milestones:
🔹 Recently produced 3 PhD graduates with quality research.
🔹 5 PhD scholars from different universities are currently conducting their research here, while many more are waiting to join.
🔹 Our graduates are serving in universities, research institutes, and industries, with many pursuing higher studies and research in China, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and other countries on prestigious scholarships.
🔹 Every year, the lab publishes 10–15 research articles in well-reputed international journals.

This is one of the finest computational chemistry laboratories in the region and, to the best of our knowledge, the first of its kind in Dera Ghazi Khan. It has created opportunities for students that were once available only in larger cities such as Lahore and Islamabad.

We sincerely thank Dr. Riaz Hussain for his outstanding leadership, continuous support, and commitment to promoting scientific research. His efforts have transformed the research culture in Dera Ghazi Khan and inspired many young scientists to pursue excellence.

We are proud to be part of this research group and look forward to contributing to even greater achievements in the future.

Today, Dr. Riaz Hussain visited the office of Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Sahib to extend his heartfelt congratulations and warm welcome on his assumption of charge as Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Dera Ghazi Khan.

Today, a seminar in university of Education Dera Ghazi khan capmus was successfully conducted on the topic:

“Molecular Modeling and Linker Modification of Pyrene-Centered D-π-A Based Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells”

The seminar was presented by Ms. Muneeba Liaqat, MS Scholar at the University of Education, DG Khan Campus. She completed this research work under the supervision of Dr. Riaz Hussain at the Computational Chemistry Lab, University of Education, DG Khan Campus.

As a result of her dedicated research efforts, Ms. Muneeba Liaqat has successfully published two research articles in highly ranked international journals, reflecting the quality and significance of her work in the field of computational chemistry and renewable energy materials.
