The Department of Political Science and International Relations, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan on 16 July 2026 to promote internship opportunities and strengthen industry–academia collaboration for students.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sameen, Coordinator, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Tayba Anwar, In-charge, Department of Political Science and International Relations, faculty members, and Mr. Hafiz Muhammad Imtiaz, Sector Head, State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.

The collaboration supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) through practical learning and internship opportunities.

The ceremony concluded with the formal signing of the LOI, reaffirming both institutions' commitment to students' professional development and career readiness.
