Youth Organizations Unite for Hakis Flood-Affected Families

Gilgit, Pakistan – In a remarkable display of solidarity, the Youth Empowering Council (YEC) and Youth Rise Development Organization (YRDO) joined hands with ( SOG ) Students Organization Gupis .Zulfiqarabad Youth Organization, and Fatima Jinnah Girl’s Degree College Gilgit to deliver much-needed relief to the flood-affected families of Hakis, Ghizer.

The relief activity brought warm clothes, hygiene kits, and essential supplies to families battling the severe aftereffects of the floods. Alongside material support, a Mental Health Awareness Session was conducted by a psychologist from Fatima Jinnah Girl’s Degree College Gilgit, providing children and adults with vital guidance on emotional strength and coping mechanisms during tough times.

A comprehensive community survey was also carried out to assess ongoing needs, and preparations for Phase 3 of the relief campaign are already underway.

This initiative reflects the power of youth-driven change and the collective spirit of compassion. The organizations call upon the community to continue their support:

On Day 1, Tuesday at 8 PM, our team departed from Gilgit to Hakis, Ghizer, carrying hygiene boxes and other basic necessities for the flood-affected families. With the support of dedicated organizations, we successfully distributed these essentials among the most deserving people of Hakis. 🌍💙
