A proud and historic moment for Hunza and Gilgit-Baltistan!
Captain Ejaz Rehman, son of Muhammad Hussain, hailing from the last village of Zoodkhun, Chipurson Valley (Gojal), District Hunza, has officially been commissioned into the Pakistan Army after successfully completing his military training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul.
He was among the distinguished cadets of the 153rd PMA Long Course who participated in the prestigious Passing Out Parade at PMA Kakul โ a symbol of discipline, endurance, and unwavering commitment to serve the nation.
๐ From Zoodkhun to PMA Kakul โ A Remarkable Journey
Captain Ejaz began his educational journey in his native village of Zoodkhun, one of the most remote regions of Gojal, Upper Hunza. From those rugged mountains to the parade grounds of PMA Kakul, his path reflects resilience and determination.
He completed his intermediate studies at Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit. In 2021, he successfully qualified the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB), a highly competitive and rigorous process. He then graduated from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) before proceeding to PMA Kakul for formal military training.
๐ A Legacy of Sacrifice โ Kargil War Connection
Captain Ejaz Rehman carries forward a legacy of patriotism and sacrifice. He is named after his maternal uncle, Shaheed Ejaz Rehman, who embraced martyrdom during the Kargil War in 1999 while defending the borders of Pakistan.
His commissioning is not just a personal milestone โ it is the continuation of a family tradition rooted in courage, honor, and national service.
This achievement is a moment of immense pride for his family, the people of Chipurson, Hunza, and the entire Gilgit-Baltistan.
