September 29, 2022.

We congratulate Mr. Ayan Ali and Mr. Mansoor Ullah of class 1st year ICS on their hiring as Apprentice in E-Commerce and Web Development with a local mentor Mr. Dara Baig, a practitioner in the field of Web Development for the last 12 years.

Mr. Dara Baig and lecturer Basharat Ali conducted on-campus interviews of potential candidate and selected the above-mentioned students. Further students will be inducted after running crash courses during upcoming weekends.

Cooperation of principal Prof. Sher Ali in facilitating and equipping the computer science department with state-of-the-art facilities is highly appreciated in this regard.

The 5 day training session for IT Teachers of schools of district Hunza was concluded today on 10th of September 2022.

On this final day, Mr. Noman Karim conducted session on Freelancing and Online Earning while Mr. Dara Baig conducted session on Web Development/Design, and the participants performed hands-on practice regarding the same.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sher Ali, Principal Govt. Degree College Aliabad, and Mr. Jabbar Khan stressed on the importance of IT education in contemporary times. Furthermore, aligning knowledge with state-of-the-art computing skills will benefit the students as well as the economy of the country in multitude of ways. Both pledged to continue the positive symbiotic relationship between schools and colleges and further enhance a positive working relationship while minimising communication gaps.

𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗩𝗧. 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗭𝗔.

A 5 day crash course for the IT Teachers of District Hunza is underway at Government Degree College for Boys Aliabad Hunza.

The training is conducted in the state-of-the-art IT Lab by Mr. Basharat Ali, Lecturer in Computer Science, and Mr. Rehmat Karim, IT Lan in-Charge. We are also thankful to our guest speakers Mr. Noman Karim, a top rated freelancer on Upwork and Fiverr, and Mr. Dara Baig, an experienced web development practitioner for their time and knowledge.

The program is being conducted with the efforts of Principal Mr. Sher Ali, DD Education Hunza Mr. Jabbar Khan, Mr. Basharat Ali Lecturer in CS, and Mr. Rehmat Karim IT Lab In-charge.

Teachers are trained from the scratch in following key areas.

* Introduction to Computers/IT/ICT.
* Computer Software
* Computer Networking and the Internet
* Introduction to Programming Computers and Web Development.
* The World of Freelancing and Digital Entrepreneurship.

We hope that the trained IT teachers will be instrumental in bringing a digital revolution in students of Hunza the upcoming years, and the schools and colleges will work in close coordination since schools are the feeding units for the colleges.

We hope this crash course will equip teachers with required knowledge and necessary tools who will enable students to think and program. As Steve Jobs once said "Everyone in this country should learn how to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think".
