Green Entrepreneurship Skills Workshop for Youth
World Wide Fund (WWF), Pakistan, in collaboration with Isra University, organized the opening ceremony and the day one of the two-day “Green Entrepreneurship Skills” Workshop under the Nature Clubs for Youth Campaign (NC4Y) on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Isra University, Hyderabad. The initiative aims to promote environmental awareness, sustainable development, and entrepreneurial skills among youth.
Mr. Ghulam Rasool Kazi, Registrar, Isra University, graced the occasion and delivered the welcome address. He warmly welcomed the participants and appreciated the collaborative efforts of WWF-Pakistan and Isra University in empowering young people through knowledge and innovation. He emphasized that environmental sustainability and green entrepreneurship are essential for addressing contemporary challenges and creating sustainable livelihoods.
As a token of appreciation, the Registrar presented commemorative shields and traditional Ajraks to Mr. Ali Shamroz Khan, Senior Officer, WWF-Pakistan, and Mr. Ayaz Joyo, Senior Consultant, WWF-Pakistan, in recognition of their contributions and continued partnership in promoting environmental education and youth engagement.
Mr. Ali Shamroz Khan, Senior Officer, WWF-Pakistan, moderated the opening day and highlighted the objectives of the workshop. Mr. Ayaz Joyo, conducted the full day session as the lead consultant. He informed the participants that the programme is being organized under WWF-Pakistan’s Nature Clubs for Youth Campaign (NC4Y), which seeks to equip young people with knowledge and practical skills in green entrepreneurship, climate action, and sustainable development.
Dr. Saad Baloch, Additional Director, Student Activities and Athletics, Isra University, was also present on the occasion and appreciated the partnership between WWF-Pakistan and Isra University in providing a platform for students and young professionals to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills while promoting environmental stewardship.
The workshop brought together around students from leading higher education institutions of Hyderabad, including Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, University of Sindh, Government College University, NUML, Iqra University, SZABIST, and Isra University. Through interactive sessions and group activities, the participants are being exposed to innovative ideas and practical approaches aimed at fostering green businesses and sustainable solutions for the future.
The event reflects the shared commitment of WWF-Pakistan and Isra University towards youth empowerment, environmental conservation, and the promotion of sustainable development in Pakistan.
