Isra University Awards Scholarships Worth Rs. 63.03 Million to Deserving Students
Isra University successfully held its two-day Scholarship Award Ceremony on October 12 and 13, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to promoting quality education, academic excellence, and equal opportunities for talented and deserving students. The ceremony celebrated students’ achievements while recognizing the importance of financial support in helping them pursue their educational and professional aspirations.
A total of 153 scholarships worth Rs. 63.03 million were awarded to students across a wide range of academic disciplines. The first day, held on Monday, October 12, saw the distribution of 79 scholarships to students enrolled in MBBS, BDS, BBA, and BS English programmes. The second day, Tuesday, October 13, recognized scholarship recipients from engineering, computing, allied health sciences, pharmacy, and nursing programmes.
The ceremonies were graced by Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, Chancellor Isra University and President & CEO of Isra Islamic Foundation, and Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor Isra University, alongside the Registrar, Deans, faculty members, students, and their proud parents. Certificates were presented to scholarship recipients, while selected students also received financial assistance through cheques.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi congratulated the scholarship recipients and their parents on their achievements. He emphasized the importance of the partnership between the university, students, and families in promoting education, personal growth, and service to society. He reaffirmed the institution’s vision of developing skilled individuals with strong moral values who contribute positively to society, serve humanity, and seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty.
Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi highlighted Isra University’s significant investment in supporting students through scholarships worth Rs. 63.03 million. He explained that the university offers merit-based scholarships with tuition fee waivers of 100%, 50%, and 25%, according to students’ academic performance at the time of admission. He also acknowledged the important role parents play in encouraging and supporting their children throughout their educational journeys.
The scholarship programme recognizes students through several categories, including the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship, Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship, Academic Honor Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Isra University Employee Dependent Scholarship, and Sindh Educational Endowment Fund (SEEF) Scholarship. These initiatives recognize academic achievement, sporting excellence, and deserving students while helping ease the financial burden of higher education.
The two-day ceremony represented a broad spectrum of academic disciplines. In addition to MBBS, BDS, BBA, and BS English, the second day featured students from BE Civil Engineering, BE Electrical Engineering, BE Mechanical Engineering, BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology, BS Software Engineering, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Doctor of Pharmacy, and BS Nursing. The participation of parents added a special dimension to the celebrations, allowing families to share in the pride and joy of their children’s achievements.
Through these scholarship initiatives, Isra University continues to nurture talent, reward merit, and expand access to quality education across its campuses.
