Independence Day Celebrations: Boys’ Events Held Successfully at Isra University
As part of the 80th Independence Day Celebrations, Isra University, Hyderabad, under the umbrella of the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics, successfully organized a series of boys’ activities on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. The events provided male students with an engaging platform to celebrate Independence Day while promoting healthy competition, confidence, sportsmanship, and physical activity.
The day commenced with the Croquet Competition, where students demonstrated excellent coordination, concentration, precision, and sporting spirit. M. Uzair from the MBBS Program secured the Winner position, while Shahid from the BSN Program earned the Runner-Up position.
The Tree Plantation Drive was organized at the Sports Ground, Block-A, as part of the Independence Day activities. The Honorable Registrar, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments actively participated in the plantation drive and planted saplings alongside students. They also visited and observed the various competitions, encouraging students and appreciating their enthusiasm and participation.
The 80-Meter Race brought excitement and enthusiasm to the Sports Ground, with students demonstrating speed, agility, determination, and competitive spirit. Adnan from the PharmD Program secured the Winner position, while Shahid from the BSN Program achieved the Runner-Up position.
An engaging Scavenger Hunt was conducted across the designated university premises, challenging students to demonstrate observation, problem-solving, quick decision-making, and resourcefulness. M. Tahmeel from the Software Engineering Program secured 1st Position, followed by Naveen Lohana from the MBBS Program in 2nd Position, while M. Raza Anwar from the MBBS Program secured 3rd Position.
The day's activities concluded with the Table Tennis Competition at the Indoor Sports Arena, Block-C, where students displayed impressive reflexes, concentration, coordination, and competitive spirit. M. Uzair from the MBBS Program secured the Winner position, while Jahanzaib from the MBBS Program earned the Runner-Up position.
The active participation and presence of the Honorable Registrar, Deans, Directors, and HoDs added further encouragement and enthusiasm to the celebrations. Their interaction with students and observation of the events reflected the University's strong support for student engagement and extracurricular activities.
The successful conduct of these boys’ events reflects Isra University's continued commitment to student engagement, sportsmanship, healthy competition, leadership, and holistic student development through the Directorate of Student Activities & Athletics.
The Main Independence Day Ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, 13 August 2026, at the Asadullah Kazi Auditorium, marking the culmination of the University's 80th Independence Day Celebrations.
