42nd IPCZ (International Pakistan Congress Of Zoology) will be held at Department Of Zoology UAJKβs KAC in the last week of April in collaboration with ZSP.
The 42nd International Pakistan Congress of Zoology will be held at the King Abdullah campus of the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in the last week of April in collaboration with the Zoological Society of Pakistan.
According to a press release issued by the UAJKβs press relations department, apart from a large number of faculty members and students doing research in the field of zoology from across Pakistan, scientists and researchers from the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Greece, and some other parts of the world would participate in the 3-day event, slated for April 23-25.
A high-level meeting to review the arrangements of the congress was held in the King Abdullah Campus in Chattar Klass, some 20 kilometers south of here along the main Muzaffarabad-Islamabad artery, the other day, with Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi in the chair.
Briefing the participants, Dr. Nuzhat Shafi, chairperson of the UAJKβs Department of Zoology, informed that the three-day event would have various sessions during which speakers and participants would present research papers and lectures and hold discussions on the latest research, development, and current problems and available opportunities in the field of zoology.
Speakers and participants would delve deeper into entomology and pest management, cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, environmental biotechnology, genetics, wildlife conservation, and some other topics, she said.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Abbasi said that hosting the International Pakistan Congress of Zoology was undoubtedly an honor for the UAJK which would spare no effort for its successful arrangement.
