Alumni Session | Psy X International Conference 2026 (Pre-Conference Activity)

The Institute of Professional Psychology (IPP), Bahria University Karachi, successfully organized an Alumni Session on “Exploring International Pathways in Applied Psychology at Ulster University (Northern Ireland)” for 7th and 8th semester students on 20th May 2026 at the NEB Lecture Hall.

The session was conducted as a pre-conference activity of Psy X International Conference 2026, in collaboration with Ulster University.
The session featured our distinguished alumni and professionals: -Calvin Cornelius Country Co-ordinator at Ulster University, Northern Ireland. and Fozan Ali- Branch Manager at IEIS.IO.
Calvin Cornelius shared valuable insights regarding international academic pathways, higher education opportunities, and global career prospects in applied psychology.

The session was co-arranged and facilitated by Fozan Ali in collaboration with Irum Shabeer, Assistant Manager Alumni Affairs & Fundraising, IPP-BU, whose efforts contributed to the successful organization of the session.

The interactive discussion provided students with meaningful exposure to international study routes, academic experiences, and career development opportunities in the field of psychology.

The Institute of Professional Psychology - BU I (IPP), Bahria University, successfully conducted an inspiring International Alumni Session featuring proud alumna of IPP,
Swaleha Khowaja.

Currently pursuing her MSc in Global Mental Health at King's College London through the prestigious Chevening Scholarship, Swaleha shared her inspiring academic and professional journey with the students. During the session, she guided students on how to apply for international scholarships, prepare strong applications, and confidently pursue opportunities abroad.

She also encouraged students to turn their failures into strengths and shared how resilience, consistency, and self-belief played an important role in her journey. Reflecting on her experience, she acknowledged the significant role of IPP in shaping her growth and success and expressed that she will always stay connected with her alma mater.

The session was highly interactive, insightful, and motivating for students aspiring to explore global education and career pathways.

We sincerely thank Swaleha for taking out time for our students and inspiring the future generation through her valuable experiences and guidance.
