The journey of a Tech Professional

I accidentally chose Computer Science in 9th grade when asked to decide between Biology and Computer Science, not realizing I was setting the course for my future career.

I designed my first HTML page in college. It was a video game inspired theme based on Delta Force (90's kids would know).

During my BS degree, I was introduced to Freelancing. That's how my professional journey began. I started taking small tasks at first.

I tried content writing, facebook ads marketing, social media management, video editing and programming.

After several experiences, I discovered my true interests: content writing and programming.

During my university days, I was elected as Campus Student President. I was always keen to participate in voluntary activities. It helped me boost my confidence and other soft skills.

Along with two friends, I launched a gaming zone business that we ran for two years before we had to close it.

I also co-founded my own software house.

This became possible through pre-seed funding (covering a furnished office and salaries) and a significant equity stake to build the solution, leveraging the investor's supply chain expertise.

I specifically chose to train interns at the companies I worked for, knowing how eager these newcomers are to learn and grow.

Today, I've collaborated with several CEOs and top-level management.

I have developed products ranging from ecommerce and video streaming platforms to CRMs, ERP systems, and personal and portfolio websites. These web solutions have helped businesses grow in terms of revenue and internal operations.

I have the honor of working with a few notable names in Telecom sector like Mobilink Jazz, Zong and Telenor.

Starting from the bottom, now I'm here.

The day I have been waiting for so long has finally arrived - the Convocation day. Despite being graduated in March 2020, the pandemic-induced delay in the ceremony has made it all the more special today.

As I put on the graduation gown, a piece of cloth that that carries many emotions, my heart swells with pride and joy. It's not about the grades or medals, but the sense of accomplishment after a rigorous 4+ years of study is overwhelming.

Reuniting with my classmates and faculty members after two long years under the same roof is a joyful moment. The bond we have built over the years has been strengthened by this reunion.

The Virtual University of Pakistan has played a crucial role in shaping my education journey and opening my mind to new forms of technology. The increasing popularity of online learning platforms is a testament to the university's foresight and innovation. I am proud to be a part of this community that is at the forefront of modern education.

The connections we made here will always be a part of us, wherever life takes us. May our paths cross again and we continue to inspire each other as we did here.

کُل پاکستان مشاعرہ 2022

شعر خود اپنی فضا بنا لیتا ہے

یہ مشاعرہ سر سید احمد خان کے یومِ پیدائش کے موقع پر منعقد کیا گیا۔ خصوصی شرکت، اپنے مرحوم دادا کے چشم و چراغ محترم جناب سید احمد مسعود نے کی۔ زیر صدارت، پروفیسر جلیل عالی اور متعدد شعرا کرام نے بھرپور حصہ لیا۔

دل پہ کچھ اور گزرتی ہے مگر کیا کیجے
لفظ کچھ اور ہی اظہار کیے جاتے ہیں

جلیل عالی کا یہ شعر ابھی تک کانوں میں گونج رہا ہے۔ انھوں نے اپنا کلام پیش کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ سر سید احمد خان کی قیامِ پاکستان سے قبل اپنی زندگی میں علم کے لیے کی گئی کوششوں کا تذکرہ بڑے احسن انداز میں کیا۔ گویا اقبال رح کا قیامِ پاکستان کے لیے خواب، سر سید کی کوششوں کا حاصل تھا۔

کہنے کو کسی بات پہ تکرار ہوئی ہے
لیکن جو ہوئی ہے وہ مزیدار ہوئی ہے

ہمارے اکثر نوجوان آج کل علی زریون اور تہذیب حافی کے علاؤہ شاید ہی کسی شاعر سے واقف ہوں۔ مسئلہ یہ نہیں کہ لوگ ذوق نہیں رکھتے مگر ستم یہ ہے کہ سوشل میڈیا پر وائرل ہونے والی کچھ ویڈیوز میں یہی شاعر نظر آتے ہیں۔ سمارٹ فون اور پھر انٹرنیٹ نے ان محفلوں کے رنگ پھیکے کر دیے ہیں۔ لوگ اب مشاعرے کی بجائے چاۓ محفل پر جانے کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں۔ لوگ داد دینا بھول گئے ہیں۔ اب بس شور سا برپا ہے۔ اب جو چند محافل کا اہتمام ہوتا ہے وہ غالباً نئی نسل کے پروان چڑھنے تک دم توڑ چکا ہوگا۔

ایک دوست کے ساتھ شعرا کرام کے حوالے سے بات ہورہی تھی تو مرزا غالب کا ذکر ہوا۔ اکثر نوجوان مرزا غالب کو بھی اس وجہ سے جانتے ہیں کہ انہیں کھانے میں آم بہت پسند تھے مگر دیوانِ غالب، نجم الدولہ اور دبیر الملک جیسے بہترین مجموعہ کلام سے بلکل ناواقف ہیں۔

پوچھتے ہیں وہ کہ غالب کون ہے
کوئی بتلاؤ کہ ہم بتلائیں کیا

مرزا غالب پر فلسفے والوں نے تحقیق کی ہوتی تو معلوم پڑتا کہ جو فکر اور فلسفہ اقبال رح نے دیا، وہ غالب سو سال پہلے ہی دے چکے ہیں۔ شاعر کی زندگی کا سب سے بڑا سچ یہی ہے کہ اسکی شاعری کو جس آنکھ سے پرکھا گیا بس اتنا ہی سمجھا گیا۔ کوئی مجنوں ہوا تو کوئی جوگی بنا۔ کسی کو مرشد کہا گیا تو کسی نے جام خالی کیے۔ کوئی ولی ٹھہرا تو کوئی اپنے محبوب کی پیچھے کافر کہلایا گیا۔

شاعری میں نام کرنا تھا
پیدا الگ مقام کرنا تھا
اسی میں ناکام ہوگیا
میں شاعری کے نام ہوگیا

آخر تک پڑھنے کے لیے بے حد شکریہ۔ یہ تحریر سخنوروں کے نام، شاد رہیں۔

KSA agreed to review the recognition of Pakistani degrees based on the distance learning model from HEC-recognized universities. An official of the Education Ministry, who was part of the Pakistani delegation, told Dawn News that Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE) were not accepting graduates of Virtual University for jobs, however, the Education Minister successfully convinced Saudi Authorities that VU is recognized e-Learning University of Pakistan. Saudi officials, in principle, agreed that they would review their decision.

Thousands of Pakistani Graduates of Virtual University will be able to get the opportunity to secure jobs in Saudi Arabia.

Education Minister also called for the immediate formation of a Joint Working Group (JWG) to be constituted by officers of the Ministry of Education, Saudi officials, and representatives from respective embassies in both countries.

The Education Minister said that Saudi Arabia counterparts have also agreed to resume 600 Scholarships being offered by Saudi universities through Higher Education Commission.

ECP announced the deadline for voter registration till 19 June

Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the final date for voter registration. It is reported that 19 June will be the last day and registration centers will be fully operational across the country till the last day. The decision is made to provide time to citizens to register and update their records. Voters are required to register and update their permanent or present addresses on their CNIC. Voters can also verify their records for any discrepancy by view at the display center of ECP. It is stated that the government is going to hold local government (LG) elections on July 17 in which 50 union councils of Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) will be engaged.
