What to do if you haven’t covered up the syllabus and the exams start?
Firstly, have a look at the date sheet. Consider the break before each paper and plan accordingly. For instance, if there are 5 days before a paper for which you’ve trained yourself well, give three days to that subject and the remaining 2 days to the subject whose syllabus is yet to be covered. Depending on your luck, you may even get a few days before the unfinished subject.
If the above technique doesn’t work out for you, the other method would be to do selective study. This is mostly helpful for Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies only. See the papers of the last session. There is a great probability, though not certainty, that the topics which came in those papers are not likely to be tested in as much detail as before. This means that you can just skim through them, if not leaving them out entirely. Instead, you can concentrate on the topics which weren’t there in the last paper. But take care! This method is a HUGE risk. A student should only follow it if there is no time left for further preparation.
What to do a day before the exam?
Go through the topics in the syllabus which you might have marked as being troublesome to you.
Do any past papers which were left undone. You could also do any specific questions from papers which appeared challenging to you.
Relax. It is not necessary to spend the entire day studying.
Do whatever you like to do for fun.
Remember, no panicking, for it only adds to your troubles.
To conclude, achieving exam success is not all about becoming a bookworm; it is about following the right techniques.
