We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Zhangwei Wang as one of the esteemed international Invited speakers at the 4th ASEAN-Pakistan Conference on Materials Science (APCoMS 2025) being organized National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST).

Dr. Wang is a Professor at Central South University China and a former Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials Germany where he worked in the supervision of Prof. Dierk Raabe. He completed his Ph.D. at Dartmouth College, USA, under the guidance of Prof. Ian Baker.

With a wealth of experience in structural materials, his research focuses on the correlation between microstructure evolution and mechanical behavior, specializing in:

🔹 Lightweight Steels
🔹 High-Entropy Alloys
🔹 Al Matrix Composites
🔹 Additive Manufacturing

Dr. Wang is an expert in state-of-the-art characterization techniques such as ECCI/EBSD, Aberration-corrected TEM, and APT, and has published extensively in top journals like Science Advances and Acta Materialia Journals He is also a member of the Associate Editorial Board of Materials Research Letters.

NUST School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME) is organizing 5th Conference on Emerging Materials and Processes 2021 (CEMP21) which will be held on 29th-30th of November. The CEMP21 will be focused on various aspects of innovative materials & emerging processes. The goal of the conference is to bring together engineers & scientists from academia and industry to share their ideas, problems and solutions related to the development of advanced materials and chemical processes. Call for paper submission is open for CEMP 21:
Selected full papers based on the scope and peer review process will be considered for publication in in the special issue of "Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery" or NJES or some other indexed journals.

Workshop on “Electrochemical Methods for Energy Applications (EMEA-2019)” to be held on 11th December 2019 (9:00 am – 6:00 pm) at SCME, NUST, H-12 Campus, Islamabad

The workshop is aimed to provide a knowledge-sharing platform for all the researchers working in emerging electrochemical energy technologies.
Electrochemical energy storage and conversion technologies are crucial for the renewables paradigm and electrochemical methods are important to evaluate the performance characteristics of electrochemical devices. This workshop aims to provide theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience of key methods electrode preparation and electrochemical workstation setup. This workshop will be an ideal learning opportunity for students, faculty, and researchers who are working on advanced energy research such as Fuel Cells, Li-Ion Batteries, Super Capacitors, Water Splitting, Biosensors, and Electrolysis etc.
