The HEC curriculum was consulted while developing the curriculum of the architecture school, and certain weak areas were addressed, and a well rounded curriculum was developed keeping in view the current teaching and course contents followed by international Architecture and Industrial design schools.

The final year class of Industrial Design at NUST School of Art, Design & Architecture was invited by ZRK Group to visit it's MDF and laminated board plant in Mardan, KPK. ZRK Group is the largest manufacturer of engineered wood in the country also exports its diverse products to many countries. The visit was truly an eye-opening experience to the immense industrial capabilites and opportunities that are offered by dynamic organizations of Pakistan. We are grateful for the great learning experience and hospitality extended to us by ZRK Group.

NUST stands tall amongst national and international varsities in the latest edition of QS World University Rankings (2022).
It is indeed a moment of immense pride for NUST and the nation as a whole that the university has retained its coveted position amongst the Top 360 universities of the world. Once again, NUST stood first amongst Pakistani universities for the third consecutive year. In addition, amongst the international universities, including the Ivy League and the Russell Group, NUST has shone bright being a comparatively young university. It also merits mention that NUST has made yet another leap by being amongst the top 28% global higher education institutions, which reflects a 2% increase compared to the previous year.

NUST continues to hold the singular honour of being #1 in Pakistan both in the World and Asian Rankings, and the only Pakistani university in the top 360 global and 100 Asian universities.

We are pleased to share that Mehak Chaudhry of NUST School of Art Design & Architecture has been shortlisted as a nominee for the Green Concept Award 2021 for her Concept "Breeze Clean," which she has developed under the supervision of Fowad Iqbal, Assistant Professor at SADA. Automobiles are notorious for creating pollution. Breeze clean is the concept of a product that draws air in from front vents and then cleans the air using specific filters. The air is then let out from side vents. The filters can be cleaned easily and reused multiple times. The concept was selected in the top 10 in the category 'Mobility' among a pool of 1461 participants from 51 countries.

The Green Product & Concept Award is annually awarded to products and concepts that stand out in terms of design, innovation and sustainability. The aim of the award is to create a collection of green solutions for consumers and buyers to make the products more visible and help manufacturers market them.
