1 year post graduate Diploma in Family Medicine

This diploma is a hybrid programme which covers all required components through a combination of online and onsite sessions, supported by workshops led by subject experts.

Assessments (formative & summative )and feedback are integral throughout the programme, with regular assignments.

There are 6 modules taught as semesters. Each semester is 16-18 week duration. There are 2 semesters in 1 year Diploma programme

There are 7 days of contact sessions per semester. Contact sessions are held at Health Services academy, Islamabad.

In addition there are 12 weeks of clinical rotations.

(i) This World Health Organization (WHO) endorsed 1-year bridging programme is designed to improve the health care standards by providing high quality, flexible and focused training programme for General Practitioners (GPs)

(ii)- Course is developed to enable newly qualified or practicing GPs to deliver comprehensive, evidence based, ethical, person centered and holistic care to individuals and families in the community.
