I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the deceased, our Mehranian Mr. Kuldeep (21 Architecture). My sincere support is with his family, may Allah give them patience in this time of heartfelt sorrow.
Since yesterday I have observed multiple aggressive people who are building chaos against the university and a well known community service event THE BIG EVENT MUET. I would like to draw the attention of people regarding the milestones set by this event in the past 7 years. This event has set a legacy of upbringing university ranking in GreenMetric and multiple other platforms in terms of organising multiple CSR projects. In this event Students and Teachers contribute together and the grand total is multiplied by two, the rest half the amount is contributed by the University. HOWEVER, THE AGGRESSORS ARE SHOWING THE WRONG IMAGE OF THIS EVENT, WHICH HAS ALWAYS BEEN ORGANIZED WITH GOOD WILL FOR COMMUNITY.
There are a few notable achievements of this event:
1. The Big Event MUET has fed more than 500 families during the complete lockdown in the global pandemic.
2. Initiated projects like Plantation and White wash for making university Clean and Green.
3. Gave FREE OF COST workshop training to local citizens for giving them art of welding, carpentering, forging and machining.
4. Promoted good will through organising "One day live life for others" A project in which students go on celebrating one day with orphans and disables to encourage their efforts.
5. Made Possible multiple Hospital Cleaning Drives.
6. Promoted the idea of celebrating Independence Day with orphans, disables and patients within hospitals.
7. In this edition, it was supposed to launch the MUET Cycling Club for easiness of students during summer and high fuel rates.
8. In this edition, Big Event MUET was initiating a project of Carbon Footprint Control, which is possibly the only project around the region to control the carbon emissions.
9. In recent Ramadan, The BIG EVENT MUET organized Ration Drive to feed more than 350 families for the entire month.
10. Free of cost medical camps have been organized for multiple times to serve the people of Hyderabad/Jamshoro region.
And The list goes on..
"The main purpose of this grand community service event is to promote the sense of responsibility among the students to not only produce skilled engineers, but also responsible citizens of Pakistan"
Now, there are few people who would never show you or tell you the brighter or positive side of this event.
I have strong faith in university and management who have been already striving for promoting quality inside the university. The committee formed by the university for this incident is appreciable. I hope justice will prevail with the transparent investigation of this incident.
The only request for students from my side would be:
"In a world full of negativity, please seek the right way, have faith in your management, avoid the AGGRESSORS and pray for the departed soul"
