A welcome ceremony was organized by the administration of Government Degree College Kandiaro, in which Chairman Town Kandiaro, Syed Murtaza Shah, participated as a special guest. The college administration welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Professor Shoaib Ahmed Sehito. Afterwards, Principal Syed Nisar Ahmed Shah thanked the esteemed guests.

The college administration thanked Syed Murtaza Shah for his cooperation in resolving various issues and matters within the college, including the electricity problem, the issue of examination centers for female students, and service-related matters of various employees.

In addition, Syed Nisar Ahmed Shah requested Syed Murtaza Shah to approve a college for the girls of the Sahti region and to establish a university in Kandiaro for the students of this area. He also requested to restore the seats of Naushahro Firoz district in Mehran University Jamshoro, Liaquat Medical and Health Sciences University Jamshoro, Sindh University Jamshoro, and other professional universities.

In the end, Syed Murtaza Shah assured that he would play his role in establishing a university in this region of Sathio and restoring the seats in Mehran University, Liaquat Medical and Health Sciences University, and other professional universities.

In Govt. GRA Degree College Kandiaro, a premier educational institution of the Sahiti region, the electricity supply has been completely severed for the past two months. The primary cause of this outage is the theft or removal of hundreds of meters of wire from the main 11-kV line leading to the college. Despite numerous protests by students and stakeholders, and formal written complaints submitted to the relevant official forums, the issue remained unresolved.

​Currently, the annual examinations for 2026 under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Nawabshah, are underway. Furthermore, starting May 6, 2026, the annual examinations of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Shaheed Benazirabad, will commence, with a total of over 5,000 students expected to participate. Due to the lack of electricity and the prevailing heatwave, there is a severe shortage of cold drinking water, causing several students to faint daily. Additionally, there is a critical water crisis in the restrooms, affecting both male and female students.

​On April 23, 2026, the institution appealed to Qari Abdul Hakim Ghanghro for the restoration of the power supply. Recognizing the immense hardships faced by the students, Qari Abdul Hakim Ghanghro took a proactive role and promised that the electricity would be restored within two days. By the grace of Almighty, work on the project has already commenced. The students and faculty pay tribute to Qari Abdul Hakim Ghanghro for his swift and noble action.
