Under the direction of the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nazli Hossain, the Dow Institute of Nursing and Midwifery (DION&M) organized a Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Camp on 12 October 2026 at two government schools in Ghazi Goth and Marroara Goth, Karachi. The initiative aimed to educate schoolgirls and teachers about breast cancer warning signs, risk factors, breast self-awareness, and the importance of early detection and timely medical consultation.

The activity provided students with a valuable community-based learning experience while promoting health literacy and preventive health practices. It is aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).

DION&M remains committed to advancing nursing education, community engagement, and health promotion through meaningful outreach initiatives.
