IIEE was founded in 1989 thanks to a joint venture, led by the Swiss and Pakistani government; currently, IIEE comes under the jurisdiction of Pakistan Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (PSCIR) and Minisitry of Science & Technology (MoST). However, the Institute itself is affiliated with NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi for its 4 year BE program in Industrial Electronic Engineering. The Institute has been providing the Industrial sector with hard-line Electrical/Electronic Engineers adapt in the arts of Instrumentation & Control Systems, PLC and Microprocessor / Microcontroller / DSP based Embedded Systems.
