We were honored to welcome Sidra Dar as a Guest Speaker for the BS Media Science class at Bahria University under the guidance of Learning Facilitator Syed Ali Imam.

With an inspiring journalism journey that began in 2010, Sidra Dar shared valuable insights from her experience working with leading media organizations including Geo News, NEO Network, Voice of America Urdu, and currently SOCH Media, where she serves as Senior Correspondent and Producer.

Her discussion with students highlighted the real responsibilities of journalism beyond headlines covering politics, human rights, minorities, gender issues, climate change, the 2022 floods in Pakistan, and important international affairs with courage and integrity. She also openly spoke about the challenges faced by women in journalism, sharing her experiences and encouraging students to pursue media with confidence, professionalism, and resilience.

It was truly an engaging and motivating session for our BS Media Science students, who had the opportunity to learn directly from a journalist actively shaping public discourse through impactful storytelling and research.

A heartfelt thank you to Sidra Dar for taking out time to connect with our students and share her professional experiences, insights, and encouragement. Your presence made the session memorable and inspiring for everyone.
