🎉 Welcoming the K-26 PG Batch to the SPE Family!

The SPE MUET SZAB Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, successfully hosted the Welcome Ceremony & SPE Awareness Session for the K-26 PG batch.

The session introduced students to the opportunities SPE offers in technical development, professional networking, leadership, and career advancement, encouraging them to become part of the global SPE community.

The event was attended by all faculty, Lab Engineers and students. A highlight of the event was the cake-cutting ceremony, celebrating the beginning of a new academic and professional journey for the K-26 PG batch. 🎂✨

The event concluded with the SPE membership registration, officially welcoming our new members to the world's largest professional society for petroleum engineers.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to an inspiring journey ahead with our newest SPE members.

Proud Moment for MUET SZAB Campus! 🎉
MUET SZAB Campus Team Selected for SPE MENA PetroBowl Championship 2026

We are proud to announce that a team of students from the Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, MUET SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mir’s, has been selected to participate in the 2026 SPE MENA PetroBowl Regional Championship.

The competition is organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and will be held virtually on 28–29 July 2026.

Our Team:

This prestigious international competition will bring together 29 universities from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Student teams will compete by answering technical questions related to petroleum engineering, energy, drilling, reservoir, production, HSE, and other industry topics, testing their knowledge, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

This selection is a significant achievement for our department and a testament to the dedication, teamwork, and hard work of our students.

We wish our team the very best of luck for this prestigious international competition.

Orientation Ceremony Held to Welcome K-26 Batch

The Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, MUET SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mir’s organized an orientation ceremony to welcome the newly admitted K-26 batch students.

Dr. Asadullah Memon, Chairman of the department, addressed the students. He congratulated them on securing admission and provided an overview of the department, its faculty, academic roadmap, policies, and available facilities. As part of the orientation, students visited the department’s laboratories, seminar library, SPE office, and other available facilities.

Dr. Zaheer Hussain Zardari, Class Advisor, also briefed the students on academic matters, course planning, and student responsibilities.

The event was attended by students, parents, and faculty, and concluded with refreshments.
