The idea of establishing this academy got reality in 1973 with the collaboration of five dedicated, hard-worker and honest persons of Usterzai Payan, Kohat. Ahmad Raza has been playing an active role since its inception till date, also the Managing Director of the Al-Asar Academy. Initially, the concentration remained only to help the needy and deserve students of Ustarzai by collecting money from
the rich, which helped the students in getting books, uniform etc. As the time passed, their determination got stronger to achieve their goal of community uplift. At last, their dream got a real shape when they were finally managed to get enough resources as well as an area of around 148 kanals to erect the pillars of the Al-Asar Academy. The construction of its first phase started around 1992. Though, the initial tempo of the work was slow and tough due to lack of infrastructure facilities like proper leveled ground and accessibility to the location. Even, leveling of the ground and construction of metalled road took 2 years. But, in spite of all such hurdles, they kept in moving to achieve their goal. Today, the academy is one of the ideal institute in Kohat because of its standard of education and location. The most remarkable point to be pointed is the consecutive 12 years result of Matric Exam where the academy achieved meritorious popularity by securing 100% marks
The academy comprises of School, College, Female Section, Male Hostel and Community Center which is further divided into a mosque and library. The Academy has still a long way to go ahead to achieve further expansion of its campus and to deliver best education to the generation
