The Department of Media & Development Communication, University of the Punjab, proudly congratulates our final-year student, Ali Ahmad, on representing the department in Masali Gaon – A Child-Friendly Communities Initiative, a collaborative development project by UNICEF and the Government of Punjab.

Making the rural communities of Punjab Child centric where every child have safe social inclusion, childhood full of nutritionist, education for greater understanding of this world and best of his health, by breaking every barrier in these track through revising the structural framework of all the service's.

The three-day intensive training workshop on Community Listening and Human-Centered Intervention Design, followed by immersive field-based practice, provided an exceptional platform to translate academic learning into meaningful community engagement. The experience offered valuable insights into participatory development, human-centered interventions, and the realities of working at the grassroots level.

Such opportunities reflect the department’s commitment to experiential learning and strengthening students’ capacity to contribute effectively to sustainable development through communication. We take pride in seeing our students engage with leading national and international development partners, transforming knowledge into meaningful social impact.
