Meet the faculty — Dr. Iram Shehzadi, Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy (UMT SPH). She completed her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Punjab University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, alongside an MPhil in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2019 where she earned a University Gold Medal.

Recognized internationally among the top 2% Scientist for year 2024 by Stanford University and Elsevier, Dr. Irum's areas of interest and research primarily focus on drug discovery, synthesis and functionalization of nanocomposites, phytochemistry, computational studies (including molecular docking, DFT), and in-vitro biological evaluations.

She has authored more than 65 full-length research articles in indexed, peer-reviewed journals and an international book.

An esteemed PhD Scholar at the University of the Punjab and an MPhil medalist from UVAS Lahore, Mr. Muaaz brings a rich blend of academic and industrial expertise to his teaching. Meet the faculty - Ms. Sonia Ashfaq Gondal - Lecturer, Course Head of the Pharm.D program, and Placement Incharge at the School of Pharmacy, UMT. A registered pharmacist and dedicated academician, she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, with areas of interest that include nanotechnology, dosage formulation development, herbal pharmaceutics, and inflammatory diseases. Her scholarly excellence previously earned her a prestigious research fellowship at the Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University, USA, where she contributed to advanced pharmaceutical research.
