Proud Moment for the School of Pharmacy, UMT Lahore!
The School of Pharmacy, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore, Pakistan, is delighted to share that two groups of its undergraduate students successfully presented their research posters at the 4th AAU Health & Biomedical Postgraduate Symposium held Ain University, Abu Dhabi Campus, on 29 January 2026.
The 9th semester students (Javeria Rasheed, Laiba Nadeem, Shahroz Mahmood, Mehak Riaz), presented their research titled "Modulatory Effects of Plum Fruits on Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors," while the 5th semester students (Areesha Tufail, Rooman Abeer, Sana Zahir), presented their study on "Branched- Chain Amino Acids and Cardiometabolic Risk." Both projects were conducted under the supervision of Dr. Hammad Yousafzai Ullah, PhD, MRSC Assistant Professor, School of Pharmacy, UMT.
This achievement reflects the School's continuous efforts to strengthen undergraduate research culture and brings it one step closer to further developing students learning and research skills.
