A memorable Independence Day celebration, beautifully organized by our 4th Year DPT students under the supervision of Principal Dr. Nighat Ansar and Academic In-charge Dr. Junaid Ijaz Gondal.

The celebration was joined by our faculty, including Dr. Irfan Ali, Dr. Rizwan Haider, Dr. Amna Zia, Dr. Saira Irshad, Dr. Saleem Nawaz, and Dr. Hira Ejaz.

Special appreciation to all our talented students who participated with great enthusiasm in Tilawat, Naat, speeches, skits, and the quiz competition, making the occasion lively and meaningful.

Honoured to have Dr. Shazia Rafique as our External Examiner and Dr. Junaid Ijaz as our Internal Examiner for the DPT Final Year Viva Voce. A distinguished alumna of the College of Physiotherapy, Dr. Shazia Rafique has served our department with dedication for more than two decades and is currently serving as the Head of Department at PINS Hospital. It is always a privilege to welcome our alumni back, whose continued achievements reflect the strong academic and professional values of our institution. We sincerely thank both examiners for their valuable time and insightful feedback.

The Final Year DPT Viva Voce was successfully conducted with Dr. Shumaila Ehsan serving as the External Examiner and Dr. Irfan Ali as the Internal Examiner, under the supervision of Principal College of Physiotherapy, Dr. Nighat Ansar.
It was especially meaningful to welcome Dr. Shumaila Ehsan back to the College of Physiotherapy, her alma mater. Having dedicated more than 20 years of service to this institution, her return as an External Examiner reflects her enduring commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.

It was an honour to welcome Dr. Sobia Zia from Jinnah Hospital Lahore, as the External Examiner. A distinguished alumna of the College of Physiotherapy,KEMU and a former faculty member who dedicated nearly two decades of service to our department, Dr. Sobia has remained closely associated with her alma mater. It is always a privilege to have her visit each year, sharing her valuable expertise and contributing to the academic and professional development of our students.

The viva examination was conducted by Dr. Sobia Zia (External Examiner, Jinnah Hospital Lahore) and Dr. Amna Zia (Internal Examiner, College of Physiotherapy), under supervision of Dr. Nighat Ansar ensuring a fair, comprehensive, and objective assessment of students’ clinical knowledge and professional competence.

Heartiest congratulations to the Principal College of Physiotherapy, KEMU on achieving an important academic and administrative milestone.

With the continuous efforts, dedication, and follow-up of Dr. Nighat Ansar, and her team, along with the valuable support and efforts of Prof. Dr. Abrar Ashraf, Dean Allied Health Sciences, it has now been officially approved in the Dean’s Committee of KEMU that, for the first time, the Program Director for both undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy programs will be the Principal, College of Physiotherapy.

This approval marks a significant step towards strengthening the independent academic and administrative identity of Physiotherapy program as a well-recognized discipline.

This milestone will help ensure that decisions related to Physiotherapy programs are made under the leadership of the concerned department, keeping in view the academic standards, professional needs, and future development of the profession.

This is indeed a positive achievement for the department and will further support better coordination, accountability, and academic governance for both undergraduate and postgraduate Physiotherapy programs.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Abrar Ashraf, Dean Allied Health Sciences, the Registrar KEMU, Prof. Dr Asghar Naqi and the Vice Chancellor KEMU, Prof. Dr Mahmood Ayaz for their support, guidance, and approval in strengthening Physiotherapy education at KEMU.

A memorable and heartwarming reunion at the College of Physiotherapy as distinguished Alumni and former Faculty members visited their alma mater.

The occasion was graced by former HOD, Dr. Saleha Saleem Bukhari, along with esteemed senior alumni Dr. Shazia Rafique, Dr. Shumaila Ehsan, and Dr. Sobia Zia. Their visit brought back cherished memories and reflected their enduring connection with the institution.

HOD & Principal, Dr. Nighat Ansar , warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and congratulated them on the formation of the College of Physiotherapy. As a gesture of respect and goodwill, bouquets were presented to Dr. Saleha Saleem Bukhari and the worthy guests.

The gathering provided an opportunity to share experiences, reconnect with colleagues, and celebrate the growth and achievements of the college. Faculty members Dr. Junaid Ijaz, Dr. Irfan Ali, Dr. Amna Zia, and Dr. Saira Irshad joined the occasion, making it a delightful celebration of legacy, achievement, and institutional pride.
