DCMR Won the Best Paper Awards and Celebrating the Academic Excellence...
The Department of Communication and Media Research (DCMR), School of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its research scholars and faculty members Under the Leadership of Prof. Dr. Noshina Saleem ( Dean Faculty of Information and Media Studies, PU) at the 3rd International Conference on Media and Communication (ICMAC 2026), organized by Foundation University Islamabad.
Ms. Maira Akram, M.Phil Scholar at DCMR, Co-authored Dr. Tanveer Hussain (Assistant Prof. DCMR) received the Best Paper Award for the research paper titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Journalism Education in Pakistan: Exploring Curriculum Readiness, Faculty Preparedness and Industry Expectations".
Similarly,Mr. Shehryar Abbasi, PhD Scholar at DCMR, received the Best Paper Award for his research paper titled “Generative AI and Audience Trust in Digital Journalism: Exploring the Role of Perceived Misinformation,”.in different session.
This achievement reflect the Department’s commitment to fostering research excellence, academic innovation, and scholarship on emerging developments in media and communication, particularly the rapidly evolving intersection of Artificial Intelligence, journalism, and media education.
