Our Power. Our Planet. 🌍

This Earth Day 2026, we’re reminded that real change doesn’t come from a single moment, it comes from people. From communities, classrooms, families, and individuals choosing to act, every single day.

Because protecting our planet isn’t dependent on one policy or one leader, it’s built through collective action, resilience, and the belief that progress is always possible.

Together, our voices, our choices, and our actions shape the future.

In Pakistan, water insecurity is deeply gendered, women and girls spend time collecting water, often at the cost of education, health, and economic participation.

At CBS, our water and gender pillar underscores a simple truth:
equitable water systems are essential for gender equality and inclusive development.

This World Water Day, we call for solutions that place women at the center of water access and decision-making.

Forests aren’t just scenery, they’re disappearing economic lifelines. 🌳

This World Forest Day, we’re reminded that forests support millions of jobs, protect communities, and sustain entire economies, but only if we act now. The cost of inaction is no longer environmental alone; it’s deeply economic.

In Pakistan, protecting forests means protecting our future. Here’s how we can act:
• Support and expand reforestation efforts like community-led tree planting
• Curb illegal logging through stronger enforcement and accountability
• Promote sustainable alternatives to fuelwood in rural areas
• Encourage businesses to adopt responsible sourcing and green practices

At CBS, we call for urgent, responsible choices where growth does not come at the expense of our forests!

Centre for Business and Society (CBS) at the Suleman Dawood School of Business, LUMS, successfully concluded the 6th annual cycle of the Ambassadors for Change Programme with its long-standing partner, The Citizens Foundation (TCF-Pakistan) from January 5–9, 2026, held at SDSB-LUMS.

This cycle brought together 41 TCF alumni and 13 LUMS student coaches for five days of immersive learning focused on digital literacy and inclusion. Recognizing digital competence as essential for education, employability, and social mobility, CBS has intentionally embedded digital education at the heart of its educational outreach initiatives, and the 6th cycle of the Ambassadors for Change Programme embodied this commitment in action.

Participants engaged in hands-on learning across Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, alongside Resume Building, professional Email Communication, and safe Internet Navigation. Beyond technical skills, the programme aimed to build confidence and agency through presentations and public speaking, enabling students to engage meaningfully in increasingly digital academic and professional spaces.

The peer-to-peer coaching model, pairing LUMS student coaches with TCF alumni, reflects CBS’s belief that lasting change is created when students become co-creators of learning and actively contribute to community development and service.

By advancing inclusive digital education, the 6th cycle reinforces CBS’s commitment to bridging digital divides and advancing SDG 4: Quality Education, ensuring equitable access to essential skills for the future.
