‎The Institute of Psychology, BNU, is proud to announce the remarkable achievements of our alumnus, Ahmed Mustafa, who has been awarded a Distinction in his dissertation on Nostalgia Marketing in the Video Game Industry and a Merit in his MSc in Strategic Management from University of Sussex, UK.

‎Alongside his academic excellence, Ahmed works as a Marketing Executive at Pallets — a clothing manufacturing company he co-founded with his friends.

‎Sharing advice for aspiring students, Ahmed reflects:

‎"You never know where life will end up. When I started my education in BNU I was honestly terrible at it. I did not manage to graduate with a distinction then, but I always knew I was capable of it and eventually made it happen. Never let a bad start define your entire experience, you never know what life has in store for you!"

‎We congratulate Ahmed on his extraordinary journey and wish him continued success ahead! 🌟

On December 1, 2025, Dr. Farhat Nadeem chaired a scientific session and participated in a panel discussion titled “Changing Family Dynamics and Their Psychological Implications in Modern Society” at the conference “Exploring Emerging Psychological Challenges and Their Solutions,” organized by the Lahore School of Business and Social Sciences, University of Lahore.

She highlighted that transformations in family structures, particularly within the digital era, have amplified the demands placed on parents and caregivers to maintain sustained engagement with the developmental needs of young individuals. Within the Pakistani context—where multigenerational co-residence remains prevalent—these shifts introduce complex and distinctive challenges for contemporary family functioning amid rapidly evolving social, technological, and cultural landscapes.

Institute of Psychology is proud to share that its student, Abeer Fatima, secured First Position in the Research Paper Presentation Competition at the 2nd National Conference of Social and Behavioural Sciences, held on December 1, 2025, at the University of Lahore. She presented her study titled “Personality Traits and Gender Role Attitudes Across Gender in Single-Sex and Co-Educational Schools.”

Supervised by Dr. Farhat Jamil and Dr. Ruhi Khalid, the research examined adolescents aged 14–18, exploring how different schooling environments are associated with variations in personality traits and gender role attitudes.

Her work provided meaningful insights into how the social and behavioural climate of single-sex and co-educational institutions may shape students’ perspectives and psychosocial development.

The presentation further highlighted the importance of culturally grounded research in Pakistan and how evidence from diverse school settings can support informed policy-making, curriculum design, and gender-sensitive educational practices.
