The University of Education was established in 2002 as the highest seat of learning in teacher education with clear goals and objectives of producing quality teachers of international standards. It was established in 1933 in the heart of Lahore city as “Lady Maclagan Training College? This was the first and the largest institution for preparing female secondary school teachers in whole Asia. This

institution produced well trained, well groomed and committed teachers who served not only in their own country but spread over to serve the British Kingdom. College of Education for Women , Lahore and it continued to be one of the most renowned teacher education institution in Asia and boasts of being the only teacher Education institution for women in Pakistan . In September,2002, with the establishment of University of Education it became one of its campuses.

Ramadan Competitions 2026 (Bank Road Campus)

The Ramadan competitions were successfully held on 26 February 2026 at the University of Education, Bank Road Campus, Lahore, during the seminar slot. The event was organized in a disciplined and pleasant environment. Students participated with great enthusiasm and showed their talents in different competitions.

*Report on Seminar with Dr. Ghazala (Psychologist)*

A seminar was held at the University of Education, Bank Road Campus, Lahore, on Thursday, 19th February 2026, focusing on the psychological well-being and personal development of female students.
The Guest Speaker, Dr. Ghazala, a senior Clinical Psychologist with more than three decades of professional experience, shared valuable insights on mental health in academic and professional life. She highlighted common challenges faced by students, including stress, anxiety, lack of self-confidence, and academic pressure, and emphasized that emotional well-being is as important as academic success.
Dr. Ghazala discussed practical strategies for stress management, confidence building, and maintaining psychological balance. Students actively participated in the discussion, and the session remained engaging and informative throughout.

An Interactive Session was successfully organized at the University of Education, Bank Road Campus, Lahore, on Thursday, 19th February 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Campus Auditorium. The session aimed to motivate female students, broaden their academic vision, and guide them toward global educational opportunities.
The guest speaker, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Gul Afshan, a distinguished Biogenetic Engineer from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, United States of America, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking talk. She focused primarily on encouraging students to prepare themselves for higher education abroad and to develop the skills required to compete at an international level.
Dr. Gul Afshan emphasized the importance of strong academic foundations, research orientation, effective communication skills, and self-confidence. A total of 102 students from BS Zoology (4th, 6th, and 8th semesters), acompained by Dr. Faiza Jabeen, Dr. Tooba Nauroze, and Dr. Rabia Faiz, participated in this informative visit.

Students explored the Zoological Museum, Honey Bee Center, and Fish Farm, gaining practical insights into taxonomy, paleontology, honey bee farming, fish culture, and vertebrate preservation. International Day of Prevention of Violent Extremism

The International Day of Prevention of Violent Extremism was observed on 12 February 2026 at Bank Road Campus, Lahore. The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the dangers of violent extremism and promote peace, tolerance, and harmony.

The program began with an introduction by the Incharge Student Affairs, followed by a student panel discussion on the causes of violent extremism and the role of education and dialogue in preventing it. A peace walk was also organized within the campus, where students carried placards promoting peace. In addition, students distributed awareness brochures highlighting the role of youth in building a peaceful society. Overall, the event was informative and successful, encouraging students to actively promote peace and reject violence.

Report on Kashmir Day 2026

Kashmir Day was observed with great respect and enthusiasm at University of Education, Bank Road Campus, Lahore. On this occasion, a walk was arranged under the leadership of the Principal Madam to show solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Faculty and students participated actively and expressed their support for Kashmir.

In addition, awareness brochures related to Kashmir Day were prepared and shared by the students in WhatsApp groups. The event was meaningful and helped to create awareness among students and the community.
