16-year of education, i.e., BS in Computer Science/ BS in Information Technology/ Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.)/ Master of Computer Science/ Master of Information Technology/ M.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognized institution.
However, candidates having Computer Engineering / Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering / Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology / Bachelor of Engineering (Computer & Information System) / B.Sc. Computer System Engineering (16-year education) from a recognized institution are also eligible but have to qualify deficiency course(s).
Candidate must have at least CGPA 2.00 out of 4 or first division wherein GPA system is not implemented.
Each candidate is required to pass the University’s Entry Test (with minimum 50% marks).

WHO CAN APPLY FOR ADMISSION
The applicants fulfills the basic admission requirements of a degree / diploma programs must possess the following documents:

Photographs of applicant (Passport Size with Blue Background)
Scanned documents with clear readability
Equivalence Certificate from IBCC and HEC in case the applicant having A / O Level Certificates and Foreign Degrees as applicable.
HOPE CERTIFICATE or UNDERTAKING as per SPECIMEN available at the VU website link https:// www.vu.edu.pk/Apply/Login.aspx along with Intermediate Part I (Passed with at-least 45% OR 50 % as per admission eligibility) & Roll No. Slip of Intermediate Part-II. (Only for Intermediate result awaiting students).
Course Contents, NOC from Previous Institute and Incomplete Result Card (Only for the applicants who are seeking admission on the basis of credit transfer/course exemption through General Route based on the Incomplete Bachelor Result Card).
Overseas Pakistani students residing abroad may apply for admission through online admission link/portal. After successful submission, the applicant will dispatch hard copy of admission form through postal/course services to the Admission Office, the Virtual University of Pakistan, Lahore for further processing and confirmation of admission.
Admissions to the Foreign or Dual National students will be offered after completing necessary codal formalities / confirmation from the respective offices (HEC, vetting agencies). Such applicants may visit VU website link https://www.vu.edu.pk/pages/AdmissionForeign.aspx for detailed information and necessary documentations to be provided to the University.
Virtual University Result awaiting students enrolled in Zero Semester, Associate Degree Program, Diploma, BS program and Master Program may apply for subsequent program’s admission, however, their admission will be confirmed upon result declaration and mark pass out.
INFORMATION FOR MERIT BASED DEGREE PROGRAM
The applicants seeking admission towards Biological Programs i.e. BS Bioinformatics, BS Biotechnology & BS Zoology Programs will submit their admission application forms with Lab preferences as merit will be determined LAB Wise.
The merit list of successful candidates of MSCS and Biological Programs will be published on website.
Admission tests will be held on-campus followed by an interview.
Successful candidate will deposit fee within due date published in the Admission Schedule – Fall 2022
GENERAL INFORMATION
The applicants having completed 14-years of qualification e.g. BA/B.Sc./B.Com, Associate Degree may apply for admission through BS Entry Route. However, such applicants shall meet the basic admission eligibility criteria of the BS Program.
The Equivalence Committee of University will evaluate the course exemptions cases based on the previous 14-years of qualification.

The cases of credit transfer/ courses exemption will be presented before the Equivalence Committee of the University for decision. Then, the decision of the Equivalence Committee will be communicated to applicants via email
It is the responsibility of the applicants to make a print of admission form and attach 3 sets of the documents at his/her selected campus.
The University will process admissions of those applicants who will submit Admission Forms along with required documents in HARD COPY (03 sets ) at the selected Campus of University till the prescribed date in the Admission Schedule.
The candidates intend to apply for admission on the basis of Course Exemption / Entry Route or Need-Based Scholarships Forms are required to fill the respective form(s) which is the part of admission form. Unfilled incomplete admission form(s) will be treated as a normal and will not be considered for Course Exemption or Need-Based Scholarships Forms.
In case candidate is already enrolled at VU and his /her admission status is regular, he / she is required to firstly cancel the old admission before applying for new admission.

• WHO CAN APPLY FOR ADMISSION?
The applicants who are meeting with the prescribed admission eligibility criteria of the Program may apply for admission.
• Admissions will be opened as per the admission schedule.
• CNIC/B Form number is mandatory for the registration. CNIC mismatching will result in rejection of admission form.
• Admissions will not be processed on the basis of HOPE CERTIFICATE / RESULT AWAITING for session FALL 2022.
• Attachment/uploading of documents in the admission portal/system should be clear complete and readable. (i.e., scanned and uploaded as per given instructions).
• It is the responsibility of the applicant to get print of Admission Form, deposit admission fee voucher and attachment of 3 sets of the documents (attested copies). Hard copy of the Admission Form along with requisite documents shall submit/courier directly to The Registrar, Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A. Jinnah Campus, Defence Road off Raiwind Road, Lahore.
• The University will process admissions of applicants who will submit 03 sets of Admission Forms along with attested copies of the academic documents in HARD COPY at the University till the prescribed date given in the Admission Schedule.
• The candidates intend to apply for Course Exemption/Entry Route/Disability or need-based scholarships, are required to fill the respective form(s) and attached with the part of admission form. Unfilled form(s) will be treated as normal and will not be considered for course exemption or need-based scholarships.
• Candidates applying on the basis of having ‘A’ levels or foreign diplomas/degrees are required to provide equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Islamabad. (http://www.ibcc.edu.pk/) and HEC.

16-year of education, i.e., BS in Computer Science/ BS in Information Technology/ Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons.)/ Master of Computer Science/ Master of Information Technology/ M.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognized institution.
However, candidates having Computer Engineering / Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering / Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology / Bachelor of Engineering (Computer & Information System) / B.Sc. Computer System Engineering (16-year education) from a recognized institution are also eligible but have to qualify deficiency course(s).
Candidate must have at least CGPA 2.00 out of 4 or first division wherein GPA system is not implemented.

WHO CAN APPLY FOR ADMISSION?
The applicants who are meeting with the prescribed admission eligibility criteria of the Program may apply for admission.
Admissions will be opened as per the admission schedule.
CNIC/B Form number is mandatory for the registration. CNIC mismatching will result in rejection of admission form.
Admissions will not be processed on the basis of HOPE CERTIFICATE / RESULT AWAITING for session FALL 2022.
Attachment/uploading of documents in the admission portal/system should be clear complete and readable. (i.e., scanned and uploaded as per given instructions).
It is the responsibility of the applicant to get print of Admission Form, deposit admission fee voucher and attachment of 3 sets of the documents (attested copies). Hard copy of the Admission Form along with requisite documents shall submit/courier directly to The Registrar, Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A. Jinnah Campus, Defence Road off Raiwind Road, Lahore.
The University will process admissions of applicants who will submit 03 sets of Admission Forms along with attested copies of the academic documents in HARD COPY at the University till the prescribed date given in the Admission Schedule.
The candidates intend to apply for Course Exemption/Entry Route/Disability or need-based scholarships, are required to fill the respective form(s) and attached with the part of admission form. Unfilled form(s) will be treated as normal and will not be considered for course exemption or need-based scholarships.
Candidates applying on the basis of having ‘A’ levels or foreign diplomas/degrees are required to provide equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Islamabad. (http://www.ibcc.edu.pk/) and HEC.
Applicant having foreign or dual national may apply for admission as per prescribed procedure published on website.
In case candidate is already enrolled at VU and his admission status is regular, he is required to cancel the old admission before applying for new admission.
