Dr. Zahid Iqbal delivered an insightful talk titled “Literary Canon, Creativity and Postcolonial-Postmodern Critique” at Govt. Graduate College, Sahiwal, on November 19, 2025. Established in 1942, the college remains a leading institution of higher education in the region. The highly interactive and informative session explored the intersections of literary canons, creativity, and critical theory, where Dr. Zahid, referencing Lyotard and Edward W. Said, drew compelling comparisons between Western and Oriental knowledge traditions. He highlighted how postmodern thought shapes contemporary literary discourse while postcolonial theory offers a powerful critique of colonial and imperial epistemologies.
