Informative Session at Qarshi University: From Computer Science to Computer Engineering

Today, Qarshi University hosted an engaging seminar by Mr. Qadeer Qureshi, a UET Lahore graduate with an MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, USA. The session explored the transition from Computer Science to Computer Engineering, highlighting relevant courses and career pathways.

With 42 granted U.S. patents and extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, including Motorola/NXP Semiconductors, Texas Instruments, AMD, and Cirrus Logic, Mr. Qureshi shared valuable insights with students. The session concluded with an exchange of questions, a vote of thanks, and the presentation of souvenirs.

Qarshi University and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) signed a strategic MoU to strengthen industry–academia collaboration.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Vice Chancellor, Qarshi University, and Sardar Usman Ghani, Senior Vice President, LCCI, on behalf of LCCI President Mr. Ali Hussam Asghar, in the presence of Dr. Arab ul Mateen and Dr. Saba Iqbal.

The partnership will promote joint research, internships, industry-led learning, professional mentoring, and academic collaboration, creating valuable opportunities for students and researchers.
