یونیورسٹی آف لکی مروت میں آج انسٹیٹیوٹ آف بایولوجیکل سائنسز کی افتتاحی تقریب نہایت پروقار انداز میں منعقد ہوئی۔ تقریب کے مہمانِ خصوصی ڈاکٹر اورنگزیب خان تھے جنہوں نے ادارے کا باضابطہ افتتاح کیا۔

اس موقع پر ڈاکٹر امجد خان، اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر و ڈائریکٹر انسٹیٹیوٹ آف بایولوجیکل سائنسز نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ اس ادارے کا قیام جدید سائنسی تحقیق، معیاری تدریس اور طلبہ کی پیشہ ورانہ تربیت کے فروغ کی جانب ایک اہم سنگِ میل ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ انسٹیٹیوٹ خطے میں حیاتیاتی علوم کے فروغ میں نمایاں کردار ادا کرے گا اور تحقیق کے نئے مواقع فراہم کرے گا۔

ڈاکٹر امجد خان نے وائس چانسلر ڈاکٹر اورنگزیب خان کی قیادت اور سرپرستی پر شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ان کی بصیرت افروز رہنمائی کے بغیر یہ منصوبہ ممکن نہ تھا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن پاکستان نے لیبارٹری کے قیام، کیمیکلز، جدید آلات اور دیگر تحقیقی سہولیات کی فراہمی کے ساتھ مالی تعاون میں کلیدی کردار ادا کیا، جس پر ادارہ ان کا تہہ دل سے مشکور ہے۔

انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ ادارہ قومی و بین الاقوامی سطح پر تحقیقی سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دے گا، معیاری لیبارٹری سہولیات فراہم کرے گا اور نوجوان محققین کو جدید سائنسی تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ تربیت دے گا۔

وائس چانسلر ڈاکٹر اورنگزیب خان نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ یونیورسٹی میں اس نئے انسٹیٹیوٹ کا قیام تعلیمی و تحقیقی میدان میں ایک اہم پیش رفت ہے جو نہ صرف طلبہ بلکہ پورے خطے کے لیے فائدہ مند ثابت ہوگا۔ انہوں نے انتظامیہ اور فیکلٹی کی کاوشوں کو سراہا اور مستقبل میں مکمل تعاون کی یقین دہانی کرائی۔

🎓 Department of Zoology, University of Lakki Marwat

Today, on 11th November 2025, the Department of Zoology proudly organized an awareness seminar on “Food Adulteration, Safety, and HACCP.”

Our guest speaker, Mr. Qismat Ullah, Hygiene Officer from the Department of Food Science and Technology, University of Agriculture Peshawar, delivered an inspiring and informative talk on how food safety and hygiene lead to a healthier lifestyle. 🌿

Students actively participated, learned about real-life examples of food adulteration, and discovered how small changes in our food habits can protect our health. 🙌

A big thanks to Mr. Qismat Ullah for his valuable insights and to all participants who made the session lively and productive! 💫

🧬 The 3rd Board of Studies Meeting of the Department of Zoology was successfully held on 20th October 2025 in the Conference Room, University of Lakki Marwat.

The meeting was attended by the Heads of Zoology Departments from all affiliated colleges, along with faculty members of the department.

The session focused on reviewing and updating the curriculum, discussing academic progress, and strengthening coordination between the University and affiliated colleges to ensure quality education and research excellence.
