The Department of Sports Sciences at the University of Lakki Marwat proudly took the lead in organizing the sports events for the 78th Independence Day celebrations. The department was entrusted with arranging a series of tournaments to mark this auspicious occasion.
The entire initiative was carried out under the watchful supervision of the HoD Department of Sports Sciences, Mr. Akhair Ullah, with the chief organizer, Mr. Javed Iqbal, also present to oversee the activities.
The events were a resounding success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the faculty where Mr. Syed Yawer Ali Shah expertly organized and refereed the badminton tournament. Mr. Habib Ullah managed the intense tug-of-war competition and also served as the referee. Mr. Anees Ur Rehman flawlessly organized and refereed the table tennis tournament.
In badminton, Gull Naseeb Shah from the Department of Computer Science secured the championship, while Danish Khan from the Department of English was the runner-up.
The table tennis final was won by Hassan Nawaz from the Department of Sports Sciences, with Javed Nawaz as the runner-up.
The tug-of-war title went to the Department of Sports Sciences, who pulled their way to victory against the runner-up Department of Computer Science.
These events not only celebrated our nation's independence but also showcased the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition among the students and departments. 🇵🇰

The Department of Sports Sciences at the University of Lakki Marwat had the honor of welcoming Dr. Noor Muhammad Marwat. He visited us to extend a warm invitation to the "2nd International Conference on Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences," which is being organized on October 21 and 22 at the Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan.
The faculty and students of our department warmly welcomed DrNoor Muhammad Marwat and expressed their sincere gratitude for the invitation. We are excited about this significant academic event and are committed to ensuring our full participation, collaboration, and cooperation to make the conference a resounding success.
