*Ban must be imposed on Wearing White Apron in Public Places to Stop the de-valuation of a Nobel profession, Quackery and to Protect Doctors’ Prestige*
1. White apron is a symbol of a qualified doctor and medical profession, not a fashion item.
2. Its misuse by quacks and unqualified persons, HOs, PGs in public markets, medical stores and clinics is creating false prestige and cheating innocent patients.
3. Wearing a contaminated apron in bazaars, hotels and on bikes is also a serious infection risk for patients and community.
4. Therefore, wearing of white apron outside hospital / clinic premises must be strictly banned. A Valuable thing like a diamond is always placed at their place, so being a doctor everyone must value their chair where he is deputed or working.
5. Only registered doctors, house officers and medical students inside hospital should be allowed to wear it.
6. Strict action and fine should be imposed on quacks and medical store owners who wear white apron to show themselves as doctors.
7. PMDC, PMAs, YDAs and Healthcare Commission must issue a formal notifications in this regard to save the prestige of the noble doctor profession.
