Friendly Practice Cricket Match Report
BBSUL Sports Department.
The Sports Department of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) organized a friendly practice cricket match with KDA Cricket Academy at KDA Cricket Ground as part of team preparation and evaluation of new players.
Batting first, the BBSUL cricket team scored 168 runs in 20 overs, displaying a commendable batting performance.
Falak Sher played an excellent knock of 44 runs (not out/retired), while Rao Abdul Ahad contributed 20 runs (not out/retired). Syed M. Zargham also added 20 runs (retired). Their responsible innings helped the team post a competitive total.
In the bowling department, BBSUL bowlers showed great effort and discipline. Mohsin Ali Awan, Saifullah, and M. Umer each claimed 2 wickets, putting pressure on the opposition. Ashraf delivered an economical spell with 1 wicket and 1 maiden over, while Shahbaz and Hammad took 1 wicket each, contributing effectively to the teamβs defense.
Although BBSUL lost the match, the primary objective of the game was to assess and provide exposure to new players, which was successfully achieved. The match served as a valuable learning experience and helped the team identify strengths and areas for improvement ahead of future competitions.
Overall, it was a productive and beneficial practice session for the BBSUL cricket team.
