Friendly Practice Cricket Match Report
BBSUL Sports Department.

The Sports Department of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) organized a friendly practice cricket match with KDA Cricket Academy at KDA Cricket Ground as part of team preparation and evaluation of new players.
Batting first, the BBSUL cricket team scored 168 runs in 20 overs, displaying a commendable batting performance.
Falak Sher played an excellent knock of 44 runs (not out/retired), while Rao Abdul Ahad contributed 20 runs (not out/retired). Syed M. Zargham also added 20 runs (retired). Their responsible innings helped the team post a competitive total.

In the bowling department, BBSUL bowlers showed great effort and discipline. Mohsin Ali Awan, Saifullah, and M. Umer each claimed 2 wickets, putting pressure on the opposition. Ashraf delivered an economical spell with 1 wicket and 1 maiden over, while Shahbaz and Hammad took 1 wicket each, contributing effectively to the team’s defense.

Although BBSUL lost the match, the primary objective of the game was to assess and provide exposure to new players, which was successfully achieved. The match served as a valuable learning experience and helped the team identify strengths and areas for improvement ahead of future competitions.

Overall, it was a productive and beneficial practice session for the BBSUL cricket team.

Our champion boxer and proud student of the Commerce Department, Hassan Ali (New Batch), was unfortunately injured on Thursday while returning with his friend on a bike after participating in the Kashmir Day Boxing Tournament at the National Coaching Center.

Near Gulshan, some dacoits attacked them and opened fire. Sadly, a bullet struck his knee.

We request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and good health. May Allah grant him strength and complete healing. 🤲

*2nd Inter-Departmental Tape Ball Cricket Championship – 2025*
Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari

The Sports Department of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari successfully organized the *2nd Inter-Departmental Tape Ball Cricket Championship – 2025* , held on *10 and 11 November 2025* at *KMC Cricket Ground, PIB Colony, Karachi.* A total of eight teams participated in the tournament, including:

1. Commerce Junior
2. Commerce Senior
3. Artificial Intelligence
4. Computer Science Junior
5. Computer Science Senior
6. English
7. Information Technology (Evening)
8. Public Administration

*Round Matches*
During the round matches, the teams of Commerce Senior, Commerce Junior, Computer Science Senior, and Artificial Intelligence demonstrated outstanding performances and successfully qualified for the semi-finals.

*Semi-Final Matches*
In the semi-final stage, Commerce Senior defeated Commerce Junior, while Artificial Intelligence triumphed over Computer Science Senior. Both winning teams advanced to the final match.

*Final Match*
The final match was contested between Commerce Senior and Artificial Intelligence. Commerce Senior showcased excellent teamwork and determination, successfully chasing the target and securing the Championship Title.

*Prize Distribution Ceremony*
The Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on *Monday, 17th November 2025* , at the *Auditorium of BBSUL Main Campus.*
The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests:

*BBSUL Sports Tournament 2025*

The Sports Department and Sports Society of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL) successfully organized the BBSUL Sports Tournament 2025, held on Monday, 10th November, and Tuesday, 11th November 2025 at the Gymnasium Hall of BBSUL.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, showcasing their skills and sportsmanship in multiple games including Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War, and Chess.

The tournament provided an excellent platform for students to engage in healthy competition and teamwork. After exciting and competitive matches, the following students emerged as winners in their respective categories:

*Report on Badminton (Men) Team Trials – HEC Intervarsity 2025-26*

The *Sports Department of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari (BBSUL)* organized the *Badminton (Men) Team Trials* for the *HEC Intervarsity Badminton Tournament 2025-26* on *Thursday, 30th October 2025* , at the *University Gymnasium Hall* .

The trials were held under the supervision of the Sports Department to select the best players to represent BBSUL in the upcoming intervarsity event. Students from various departments actively participated and showcased impressive talent, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the matches.

After keen observation and fair assessment, the following players were selected to represent *BBSUL Badminton (Men) Team* in the *HEC Intervarsity Tournament 2025-26:*
