Biological and Environmental Sciences students from Emerson University MULTAN conducted a study tour to Islamabad focused on “Climate Resilient Pakistan.”

The tour aimed to provide practical exposure to climate adaptation and water resource management strategies. Students visited the "Earthen Wetland System"to learn about nature-based solutions for wastewater treatment and ecosystem services. At the "Ground Water Recharge Well" site, they observed techniques for rainwater harvesting and aquifer replenishment.

The delegation also visited key national institutions: the Ministry of Climate Change, Pakistan Meteorological Department, and PCRWR (Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources). During these visits, experts briefed students on national climate policies, weather forecasting, climate data, and ongoing research on water conservation and drought management.

Overall, the tour enhanced students’ understanding of climate resilience, sustainable water practices, and the role of government institutions in environmental protection.

Culture & Food Festival 2026 — what a day! 🌸🧃

Our department was buzzing with desi khabay, non-stop laughs, traditional jhoomer, and the kind of energy only our students bring.

From colorful food stalls to fun activities, you all came with 100% josh and made the festival unforgettable.

Huge thank you to our respected HOD Dr Ahmed Waqas for the constant support, and to every organizer,faculty member and participants who made this happen behind the scenes. We see the effort.💚
