Independence Day Celebrations – 14th August 2026. The Independence Day celebrations commenced with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the College. Principal Dr Masroor Sibtain accompanied by the Chief Guest, Dr Fareed Sharif DPI (Colleges)South Punjab and Guest of Honor Mr. Tahir Sultan Khan Director of Education (Colleges)Multan hoisted the national flag in the presence of the teaching staff and students. The ceremony was followed by the National Anthem. After the National Anthem, a special prayer was offered by Prof. Dr. Mutee ur Rehman along with other participants for the peace, prosperity, progress, and stability of Pakistan. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held to mark the celebration of the Independence Day. Afterward, the guests, teachers, and students proceeded to the venue of the seminar. As a seminar was organized at Govt. Graduate College Civil Lines Multan on 14th August 2026 to celebrate Independence Day of Pakistan with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The seminar formally commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. After the opening proceedings, students Ali Amjad, Fiza Javed, and Junaid Javed delivered speeches on the importance of Independence Day. They highlighted the struggle and sacrifices of the Muslims of the subcontinent and the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. They also emphasized the responsibilities of the younger generation in the progress, stability, and development of Pakistan. Their speeches reflected patriotism and encouraged students to work hard for the prosperity of the country. The students Mr. Samee Ajmal, Sameer Akbar Ali Asad , Muskan Azam , Muhammad Yousaf, Ms Memona Bukhari (Librarian) , Mr. Faisal Rasheed, presented national songs. Their performances created a lively and patriotic atmosphere among the participants. The audience appreciated their efforts and joined them in expressing love and respect for the home land. After the students' presentations, the Chief Guest Dr. Fareed Sharif DPI (Colleges)South Punjab addressed the gathering. He congratulated the organizers and students and emphasized the importance of national unity, discipline, education, and dedication. At the end of the seminar, Principal Dr. Masroor Sibtain thanked the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, teachers, and students for their valuable participation and cooperation. He appreciated the efforts of everyone who contributed to the success of the event and emphasized the need to uphold the ideals of Pakistan. The seminar concluded with a renewed commitment to serve the country with honesty, dedication, and responsibility.
