Final Year Project Defense – BSCS & BSAI (Session 2021–2025)

The Final Year Project defense for BSCS and BSAI students of the 2021–25 session was successfully conducted on 27-11-2025, showcasing an impressive range of innovative and impactful projects. Students presented excellently, demonstrating their skills in developing cutting-edge applications using AI and other modern technologies.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed external examiners, Dr. Naveed Akhtar from PIEAS and Dr. Fiaz Majeed from the University of Gujrat, for their valuable time, insightful feedback, and dedicated efforts in evaluating the projects with great professionalism.

A productive day in the Computer Vision Lab!

Our students (BSAI-2022-26) have been busy exploring the fundamentals of image and video processing using OpenCV. From reading and displaying images to applying filters, edge detection, and color transformations — they’re getting hands-on experience with the basic building blocks of computer vision.

It’s amazing to see their curiosity grow as they experiment with real-world tasks and watch their code bring images to life.

The Department of Computer Science & IT, University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, successfully conducted the entry test for BS Computer Science, BS Artificial Intelligence, and BS Cyber Security programs.

The 14th Meeting of the Board of Studies (BoS) of Department of CS & IT UAJK was successfully held today. Distinguished faculty members from renowned institutions participated, including Dr. Imran Ali Khan (COMSATS), Dr. Wasi Haider (NUST), and Dr. Naveed (PIEAS, online).

The meeting focused on the comprehensive revision of the BSCS and BCAI curricula, alongside the introduction of the BS Cyber Security curriculum and its OBE mapping, ensuring alignment with emerging academic and industry trends.

The Department of CS & IT UAJK successfully hosted an inspiring seminar on “How to Pitch Your Startup”, delivered by Syed Taimoor Hussain, Director BIC, Foundation University Islamabad.

Mr. Hussain, a renowned expert in entrepreneurship and marketing, and a syndicate member of 11 universities in Pakistan, is widely recognized for his remarkable efforts to nurture a startup culture among faculty and students across the country.

In his talk, he shared valuable insights on clarity, confidence, and innovation as the keys to successful pitching. He further encouraged students to implement their ideas without the fear of failure, emphasizing that every step is a learning opportunity.

The session was highly interactive and engaging, with active participation not only from CS&IT students but also from the Departments of Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and Fine Arts. The vibrant Q&A session reflected the enthusiasm and curiosity of the participants.
