The Institute of Criminology, University of Peshawar in collaboration with the Forensic Lab Peshawar arranged a One-day Field trip for the students of BS-VI Semester. The Students were received at the Forensic Lab Peshawar with great hospitality. Initially, they were provided with a briefing of the Forensic Lab— it's organization, working and mandate.
The Students were also enlightened about the many sections of Forensic Lab Peshawar and how it plays its significant role in Investigation. The Students were given a tour of each section and accompanied by the respective Section's Incharge. Each Incharge further clarified any queries related to their field. The Students were also introduced to the Institute of Forensic Science, a learning institution working within the Forensic Lab, Peshawar.
This Field Trip served as a practical knowledge as well as an exposure trip for the Students of Sixth Semester.

The Institute of Criminology in collaboration with UNDP arranged a Session on Legal issues and Mental Health Challenges to Sensitize the Students about the Psycho-Social Issues Faced by HIV Population and the Legal Aid Services provided at Gender Desk. The event was joined by Chairman Institute of Criminology, Dr. Basharat Hussain along with the Students of Criminology.

16 دسمبر پاکستان کی تاریخ میں سیاح دن کے نام سے جانا جاتا ہے۔ کریمینالوجی سٹوڈنٹس سوسائیٹی (CSS) اے پی ایس (APS) سکول کے شہدا کو خراج تحسین پیش کرتی ہے جنہوں نے دہشتگردوں کے خلاف ڈٹ کر کھڑے ہو کر اس بات کا ثبوت پیش کیا کہ چا ہے دشمن کتنا بھی ظالم ہو، قلم کا مقابلہ نہیں کر سکتا۔
ہمارے حوصلے بلند ہیں اور ہم دہشتگردوں کی بچوں کو علم سے روکنے کی ناکام کوشش کو کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہونے دیں گے۔ اس عزم کے ساتھ کہ آج کا طالب علم کل کا مستقبل سنوارے گا، ہم علم کی روشنی میں اپنے ملک کو تاریکی سے نکالیں گے۔ اور دنیا کی دوڑ میں آگے بڑہ کر پاکستان کا نام روشن کریں گے۔خدا شہدا کے لواحقین کو صبر دے اور شہدا کے درجات بلند کرے۔ (آمین)

Criminology students society arranged a one day awareness seminar with the abet support of World Health Organization (WHO) on “prevention of gender violence” at institute of criminology, University of Peshawar . Dr. Basharat Hussein (HOD) welcomed the honourable guests;

Chief Minister of KP Mr. Mehmood Khan formally inaugurated the Institute of Criminology at the University of Peshawar today on 21st December 2022 at around 11 am. He was accompanied by Provincial Minister for Higher Education Mr. Kamran Khan Bangash, Provincial Minister for Finance Mr. Taimur Khan Ghagra, Secretary Higher Education Mr. Dawood Khan, Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar, Dr. Muhammad Idrees, Registrar, along with other administrative officers of the University of Peshawar and dignitaries from the Provincial Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Prof. Dr. Basharat Hussain, Chairman and Project Director of the Institute of Criminology received the honourable guests and gave briefing about the Institute. This project was completed with a total cost of Rs. 180 million in five years duration. The Institute consists of classrooms, teachers' offices, examination hall, separate computer Labs for BS and MPhil/PhD students, Library, separate common rooms for boys & girls, Conference Hall, Forensic Lab, etc. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor, the Project Director and his team for the successful completion of the Institute. It was agreed to come up with a mechanism for the training of the law enforcement officials at the Institute of Criminology, University of Peshawar.

Criminology student society under the supervision of Sir Aizaz , arranged a session on Forensic criminal investigation, where the chief guests from FSL peshawar sub branch crime scene investigation and professionals in question documents were invited. Students from different departments as well as criminology students were acknowledged with the importance of evidence in a crime scene investigation and how FSL works as a backbone in criminal conviction , moreover internship programs has also been offered by the chief guests . Congratulations on another successful event to the team . 😀
