Artiflex ’26 hands-on creative workshops, organized for the first time at Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM) by the Arts & Photography Society in collaboration with Karigar. The workshops introduced students to diverse forms of art and craftsmanship, including Pottery/Clay Art, Lippon Art, Tissue Texture Art, and Punch Needle Art. The initiative received an enthusiastic response from the NWSM community, with students and faculty members actively participating and exploring new forms of creative expression together. The Principal, Prof. Dr. Amir Khan, and the Vice Principals also visited the workshops, engaged with participants, and shared their views on the importance of creativity and co-curricular activities in student development. The workshops provided an engaging space for learning, interaction, and self-expression beyond the conventional academic environment, further enriching the Artiflex ’26 experience.

The Arts & Photography Society, Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM), organized Artiflex ’26, marking the return of the event after nearly three years.

The event was from 25 June to 5 August 2026. The event featured All-Pakistan Online Competitions in Arts, Photography, and Dramatics, attracting 280+ participants from leading institutions across Pakistan, including GCU Lahore, University of Peshawar, Ziauddin Medical College, Khyber Medical College, Rehman Medical College, and others.

Participation from Bangladesh and other countries in Artiflex ’26 extended beyond geographical boundaries, creating a platform for students to showcase their creativity and talent.

The Opening Ceremony recognized outstanding participants with shields in appreciation of their achievements.

The initiative was organized by the Arts & Photography Society under the guidance of Staff Advisor Dr. Irum Javed and General Secretary Hassan Sikandri.

Principal Prof. Dr. Amir Khan, along with faculty members, presented shields to the winning participants in recognition of their talent and achievements.

The Department of Medical Education, Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM), organized an insightful session titled “We Want Happiness in Life: The Secret” on 17 August 2026 at Lecture Hall 5, NWSM.

The session was attended by 4th-year MBBS students and faculty members, who engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on the meaning of happiness, its deeper dimensions, and the factors that contribute to a fulfilling and purposeful life.

The session was facilitated by the renowned scholar Shaykh M***i Dr. Hammad Chaudhary, who shared valuable insights and reflections with the participants, encouraging them to look beyond material pursuits and explore the deeper sources of happiness and contentment.

The session provided an enriching opportunity for students and faculty to reflect, learn, and gain a fresh perspective on achieving greater purpose, balance, and happiness in life.

On the auspicious occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, the Northwest School of Medicine proudly celebrated the day with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and national spirit.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished faculty members, demonstrators, administrative staff, and students. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Amir Khan, Principal NWSM; Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain, Vice Principal Academics; Prof. Dr. Naveed Alam, Vice Principal Administration; and Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali, Vice Principal Research.

The highlight of the celebration was the flag-hoisting ceremony, symbolizing the unity, strength, and resilience of our nation.

As the national flag proudly rose, the NWSM community came together in prayer for the peace, prosperity, and progress of Pakistan, with a shared hope for a stronger, more united, and harmonious nation.

The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of our national values and reaffirmed NWSM’s commitment to contributing towards a healthier, educated, and prosperous Pakistan.
