KMU Observes Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir with Solidarity Walk.

Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar, observed Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir by organizing a solidarity walk to reaffirm its support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The walk was led by KMU Registrar Inam Ullah Khan Wazir and attended by Prof Dr. Inayat Shah, Provost Muhammad Farooq, Director Administration Tahir Ayub, Chief Proctor Prof. Dr. Haji Bahadar, Prof Dr. Naushad Muhammad, faculty members, heads of departments, officers, staff, and a large number of students.

Participants carried banners and placards expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and supporting their right to self-determination. They urged the international community to take effective notice of the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to ensure the implementation of the relevant United Nations resolutions regarding the Kashmir dispute.

Addressing the gathering, Registrar Inam Ullah Khan Wazir said that observing Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir is a tribute to the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people. He emphasized that supporting the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination is Pakistan's national responsibility and reaffirmed that the Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

He noted that while KMU remains committed to excellence in education and research, it also recognizes its responsibility to raise awareness about issues of national and humanitarian significance. He added that Pakistan will continue extending its political, diplomatic, and moral support to the people of Kashmir.

The speakers described the Kashmir issue as not only a regional dispute but also a major human rights concern requiring a peaceful and just resolution through international engagement. They emphasized the need for the global community to play a more effective role in addressing the situation.

The event concluded with a special prayer for the peace, security, and prosperity of the Kashmiri people. Participants reaffirmed KMU's commitment to continue organizing awareness activities and observing Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir every year in solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
