Online Distance Learning (ODL), University of Peshawar:

A ten-day training course organized under the supervision of the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Peshawar, concluded today.

Director IT Centre Shafaat Raza and Director Distance Education Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nafees provided practical training to coordinators from various departments. A total of 32 coordinators from six faculties participated in the training programme.

During the current semester, six courses have been offered online, with 3,200 students registered so far. Following the training, the coordinators will be able to properly guide and facilitate students enrolled in the online courses.

The distance education system will also provide students with greater flexibility by bringing classroom learning to their homes and enabling them to make productive use of their free time.

Undergraduate Fall 2026 Admissions Open

Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies:

Ms. Shagufta Gul, an MS Scholar in Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Peshawar, successfully defended her thesis titled 'Assessment of Dispute Resolution Council Constitution in Peshawar with Reference to Women's Effective Representation' today, September 16, 2026.

Her external examiner, Dr. Akhlaq Ahmad, Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Sociology at the International Islamic University, Islamabad, conducted the viva online.

The research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Bilal Shaukat, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, University of Peshawar.

Mr. Tanveer Ahmad successfully defended his MS dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Asfandyar Marwat. The scholar conducted his research on Pakistan-Afghanistan relations after US withdrawl: Security Predicaments for Pakistan under Taliban regime. External examiner for the Viva was Associate Professor Dr. Sohail Ahmad from COMSAT University Islambad.
