Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, visited Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS), Quetta, where he was warmly received by the Vice-Chancellor, university administration and faculty members.
Vice-Chancellor of BUMHS, Quetta, Prof. Dr. Shabir Ahmed Lehri, welcomed the distinguished guest and presented a comprehensive briefing on the university’s academic, research, and administrative achievements. He highlighted the institution’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic excellence, promote research, enhance the quality of medical and health sciences education, and improve institutional performance through innovative initiatives and strategic development.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar appreciated the progress made by BUMHS under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Shabir Ahmed Lehri and commended the university’s commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and capacity building. He reiterated the Higher Education Commission’s dedication to supporting higher education institutions in promoting quality education, research, innovation, and digital transformation across Pakistan.
The visit was attended by Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan; Prof. Dr. Ehsan Ullah Kakar, Vice Chancellor, University of Loralai; Mr. Noor Ullah Khan, Private Secretary, HEC Regional Office Quetta; and Mr. Ahsan Hameed, Deputy Director (In-Charge), HEC Regional Office Quetta, who accompanied the Chairman HEC during the visit and participated in the proceedings. The event was also attended by deans, directors, faculty members, administrative officers, and students of the university.
