Eco Escape Room – Rising Pakistan 2025

The RWU Green Youth Movement Club proudly brought an innovative twist to environmental awareness at Rising Pakistan — our very own Eco Escape Room! 🔐✨

Designed by our talented Captain, Hibah Hassan, this interactive challenge combined puzzles, clues, and eco-facts to create a fast-paced, engaging experience. Participants had to think green, act fast, and unlock their way to victory — all while learning about sustainability.

The result? A massive success! 🙌 We saw incredible enthusiasm, teamwork, and plenty of “aha!” moments from the players. This activity not only entertained but also inspired participants to reflect on the urgent need for climate action. 🌏💚

A huge thank you to everyone who stepped in to play and to our amazing volunteers for making it happen. Together, we proved that learning about the environment can be as thrilling as any adventure game. 🗝️🚪

Rawalpindi Women University’s Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club proudly conducted a 2-day training workshop on “Importance of Tree Plantation and Forestry: Global and Pakistan Perspectives” on 8th–9th April 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, led by Dr. Sadia Malik, OC Member of the GYM Club.
The session empowered 35 dedicated students with knowledge and skills to become green ambassadors. The workshop explored the vital role of tree plantation and sustainable forestry in mitigating climate change, preserving biodiversity, and supporting livelihoods — both globally and within Pakistan.
A special feature of this workshop was the distribution of plant saplings to GYM Club members for plantation at home, campus, and in their communities — translating theory into action.
We’re also proud to share video glimpses of our passionate GYM Club members in action — their reflections, learnings, and commitment to a greener tomorrow.

Plantation Drive at Rawalpindi Women University – A Step Towards a Greener Future!

On 10th January 2025, the Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club at Rawalpindi Women University successfully organized a Plantation Drive on campus in collaboration with Pakistan To***co Company, which generously provided us with 30 trees—15 Loquat and 15 Bottle Brush.

This amazing initiative was led by Heba Bint e Sajid, President Student Council RWU, as part of her Active Citizenship Program course project, who also happens to be the Heba to our Hibah—together, they’re like a power duo that confuses half the university and terrifies the rest!

We were honored to have Miss Huma Fawad, Registrar RWU, as our Chief Guest. The event was supervised by our dedicated OC members, Dr. Sadia Malik and Ms. Khadija Saeed, whose guidance was invaluable in making this drive a success.

We were also privileged to be joined by:
🌿 Prof. Dr. Sobia Masood, Chairperson, Departments of Psychology and Media & Communication Studies
🌿 Dr. Amber Sarwar, Chairperson, Department of Computer Science
🌿 Sir Umar Sultan, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science (sir, this plantation drive couldn't have happened without you!)
🌿 Mr. Muhammad Naveed Ashraf, Additional Treasurer Rawalpindi Women University
🌿 Our gardeners, whose efforts ensured the smooth ex*****on of this initiative.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful cause. Together, we are making RWU greener, healthier, and more sustainable! 🌍💚
