Rawalpindi Women University commemorated Pakistan Day with a thought-provoking seminar on “The Importance of Pakistan Day for Contemporary Youth”, hosted by the Literary and Debating Society of RWU.
The seminar was organized to highlight the importance of Pakistan Resolution Day for youth. The guest speaker Maj. Gen(R) Dr. Ghulam Qammar, DG, Directorate General of Religious Education highlighted the importance of Pakistan Resolution Day for youth and how students can strive towards being responsible Pakistani.

The Literary and Debating Society (LDS) of Rawalpindi Women University hosted a presentation on Culture, exploring its emergence, role, and power in society. The event, held on December 26th, also featured a short musical demonstration by Arieb Azhar.
Mr. Azhar, a musician, producer, and pioneer in interpreting Sufi poetry for contemporary audiences in Pakistan, showcased his talents. Notably, he has been featured in three seasons of Coke Studio.

Rawalpindi Women University commemorated Iqbal Day with a thought-provoking seminar on the "Significance of Iqbal in Contemporary Times," hosted by the Literary and Debating Society of RWU.
Prof. Dr. Ravish Nadeem, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities from Govt. Post Graduate College, Satellite Town, RWP, shed light on the profound aspects of Iqbal's philosophy, sparking enlightenment among all attendees.

The Literary and Debating Society organized a bilingual speech competition on the 19th of December. Students were allowed to choose their own topics which resulted in a diverse array of subjects, showcasing the individual interests and perspectives of the participants. The esteemed judges provided constructive feedback, fostering a supportive environment where every participant felt valued, regardless of the outcome.

Every Kashmiri considers India as usurper and Pakistan as his homeland: Altaf Hussain Wani

As per the directives of The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-
Baltistan, Rawalpindi Women University held a seminar to observe
Black Day against India’s usurpation of the state of Jammu and
Kashmir, in which Guest of Honor - Altaf Hussain Wani,
Chairperson of Kashmir Institute for International Relations,
informed the students about the importance of this day. He
exhorted that the people of Kashmir valley consider Pakistan as their second home and Pakistan has always raised its voice for
Kashmiris on every forum. He also urged the students to use
social media to highlight the Kashmir issue at the global level. Mr. Wanni paid tribute to those who fought for the Palestinian cause
on this occasion.
Chairperson Department of English – Prof. Dr. Rooh ul Amin
opined that we need teachers like Altaf Hussain Wani who are
highlighting the issue of Kashmir all over the world. The Head of
the Department of Media and Mass Communication - Dr.
Nauman Ansari, said that the Kashmir issue is the issue of
Pakistan’s survival, which is a requirement of international law to
be resolved by the will of Kashmiris. The seminar showcased
a special documentary prepared by the Media Club of the university. The students also recited the Kashmiri song “Mere Watan Teri Jannat Mein Aye Ge Ek Din”. The event was hosted by the University’s Literature and Debating Society.
