The College has thousands of alumni whose professional commitment is evident from the excellence of the health care delivery system in the Armed Forces. The important courses offered are M.Sc in Advance Medical Administration, Ph.D and M.Phil in Basic Medical Sciences, FCPS, MCPS and basic and post-basic Nursing Courses including training for B.Sc Nursing. The training provided by the Institute is recognized by PMDC as well as General Medical Council UK. It has produced professionally sound health practitioners working as medical administrators, as well as specialist in various disciplines of Medicine and Surgery. Nursing Wing of the Institute is also providing training in basic Diploma and graduate courses duly approved by Pakistan Nursing Council. Various Centres of excellence like AFIC, AFIP, AFIT, AFIU, AFIRM, AFID and two tertiary care hospitals at Rwp are also affiliated with the Institute to impart postgraduate training. This Institute offers postgraduate medical training not only to doctors of Armed Forcesbut also their counterparts in civil as well as medical officers from allied countries.
