The Department of Pharmacy, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Sheringal Dir Upper convened its 7th Meeting of the Board of Studies on February 17, 2026, under the chairmanship of Dr. Shujaat Ahmad, Chairman, Department of Pharmacy, SBBU Sheringal.
In the meeting the BoS members discussed and approved several key academic matters, including the adoption of the revised Pharm-D Curriculum 2025, the proposal for the start-up of evening shift Pharm-D program, and other important academic reforms regarding undergraduate and post graduate programs.The board also decided and agreed to switch to semester system applicable on current batch enrolled in session 2025.
The meeting was graced by the honourable members Board of Studies, Department of Pharmacy shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal Dir Upper including Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mir Azam Khan, University of malakand and other eminent external members, including Prof. Dr.Niaz Ali (participated by circulation via email the agenda)(Khyber Medical University University Peshawar), Prof. Dr Syed Mukaram Shah (Dean University of Swabi), Dr.Imran Ul Haq Provincial Drug Inspector Dir Lower,Dr. Shafiq ur Rahman(SBBU), Dr.Muhammad Riaz (SBBU)and Dr. Hamid Hussain Afridi (SBBU), actively participated and contributed their expert opinions.
The Chairman of the Board, Dr. Shujaat Ahmad, efficiently coordinated the meeting, prepared the working papers, and ensured the smooth conduct of proceedings.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to all members/ participants, for their constructive input and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and quality Pharmacy education.The Chairman Dr Shujaat Ahmad also expressed thanks to Dr Maqsood U Rahman and Prof Dr Waqar Ahmad Chairman Pharmacy University of Malakand for facilatation to conduct the said meeting at Department of Pharmacy University of Malakand.
