A successful PhD final defense was recently conducted for the students of Chemistry Department working under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad and Prof. Dr. Faisal Nawaz, thus creating a great milestone not only for the researchers but also for their guide. The final defense can be considered as the outcome of several years of hardworking research, academic study and experimentation.
In the final defense, the PhD researchers Ms. Shama Noureen and Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed introduced their research work to the examination panel and gave an outline about the research objectives, methodology, findings and scientific contribution of their work.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Moazzam Naseer (QAU Islamabad), Prof. Dr. Azhar Mahmood (NUST Islamabad) and Prof. Dr. Obaid ur Rehman Abid (Hazara University, Mansehra) commended the relevance and standard of research carried out and acknowledged the contributions made by the students in their respective fields of study. The success in the PhD defense was an indication of the dedication, resilience and research skills possessed by the researchers as well as good academic supervision and guidance offered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zaheer Ahmad and Prof. Dr. Faisal Nawaz during their period of PhD studies.
The accomplishment is something to be proud of not only for the students but also for their supervisor, peers, and the entire department. The accomplishment of the PhD defense further shows that the University of Wah, is keen on promoting high-quality research as well as nurturing researchers who can make valuable contributions to science.
