Our University is innovation in action, broadly understood development, as well as constant efforts to adapt the educational offer to the expectations of businesses and the needs of society. The competitive advantage of the University is the high quality of education, which is ensured by the teaching staff consisting of outstanding specialists, including doctors and practitioners, and professional

ly equipped specialized laboratories. We are the university that educates the largest number of students of nursing, as well as emergency medicine in the Pomeranian region. A key aspect in the implementation of the study program for us is practice. For this reason, all our students do their internship in one of our partner hospitals or clinics. Thanks to this approach, we are sure that graduates leaving the walls of our university will continue their careers with dignity and professionalism, and provide highly qualified assistance to others. Thanks to its activities, Powiślański University can also boast of its cooperation with numerous medical institutions, hospitals, educational institutions, foundations, clinics and specialist offices, as well as companies associated with the economic, logistics and transportation industries. Relationships with professional partners enable the University's students to carry out internships at renowned and respected institutions in the Pomeranian area, which provides valuable work experience for those about to enter the labor market. We also have at our disposal a numerous base of establishments not only throughout the country, but also abroad, which makes it possible for students to carry out the program in cooperation with foreign partners. Powislańska Szkoła Wyższa is also a holder of the Erasmus University Charter (ECHE), which entitles to use European funds under the Erasmus+ Program, including, among others: mobility of students, academic and administrative teachers. Worthy of recognition is the wide network of foreign partners, which consists of more than 150 higher education institutions in more than 50 countries. In the 2022/2023 academic year, the university is implementing 4 Erasmus+ projects for a total of 490 thousand euros.

🌍 Erasmus+ without borders! 🇯🇴

45°C in the shade, new connections, conversations about intercultural communication and… a certain little story involving a dog. 🐶

As part of the Erasmus+ programme, MA Anna Wysocka, lecturer at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, visited Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan in Amman.

During her classes with students, she explored linguistic and cultural communication in patient–healthcare professional interactions. The discussions focused on cultural differences, but also on what remains universal in patient care, regardless of the country or culture.

The visit also included meetings with lecturers from the Faculty of Health Sciences. Exchanging experiences and teaching methods soon led to conversations about further opportunities for cooperation and joint educational initiatives.

And how will Anna remember Jordan?

“It was a very intense and memorable trip. I met so many wonderful people, and Jordanians turned out to be incredibly kind and welcoming. And those 45°C in the shade – that’s something I certainly won’t forget anytime soon! 😄 I also met a very lovely dog, whom I’m now trying to bring to Poland. Keep your fingers crossed that it works out!” 🐶🇯🇴🇵🇱

Amman left her with plenty of memories, new connections and ideas for further cooperation. And, along the way, there was one decidedly less academic challenge – figuring out how to bring a dog she met in Jordan back to Poland. 😄

Thank you to MA Anna Wysocka for representing Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences. Now all that’s left is to keep our fingers crossed for a happy ending to the dog story! 💚

🌍 Erasmus+ without borders! 🇦🇱

The Erasmus+ mobility of Mateusz Grądzki, MA, Deputy Erasmus+ Coordinator at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, has come to an end. The final stage of his visit took place at Universiteti Bedër in Albania.

During the meetings, discussions focused on the LEADALKO project—which develops leadership competencies in higher education—as well as experiences with Capacity Building in Higher Education projects and potential future joint initiatives. The visit also paved the way for prospective cooperation between PAAS and Epoka University, the second-largest university in Albania.

An important element of the mobility was exchanging best practices regarding university operations, career office activities, lifelong learning offerings, and support for students participating in the Erasmus+ program.

Reflecting on his trip, Mateusz Grądzki, MA, shared:

"This trip was an opportunity not only to strengthen ties with our partners, but also to truly experience Albania from the inside out. It's a beautiful and diverse country where, in a single day, you can explore both high mountains and the Adriatic coast. Albania also won me over with its fantastic food, incredible bakeries, 24/7 cafes, and exceptionally welcoming people. It was a wonderful time for me, and I will definitely be coming back."

Erasmus+ mobilities are not just about developing international cooperation and sharing expertise; they are also about discovering new cultures, building relationships, and gaining inspiration that drives the continued growth of our University.

We thank Mateusz Grądzki, MA, for proudly representing Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences and wish him many more inspiring international experiences ahead!

🌍 International Days 2026 have officially come to an end!

It has been an incredibly valuable time for us. The official certificate award ceremony was a wonderful conclusion to an event defined by international cooperation, the exchange of experiences, and inspiring meetings.

Over the past few days, the Gdańsk branch of Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences became a space for dialogue and building lasting relationships. We had the great pleasure of welcoming representatives of our international partner universities, discussing development and education together, and sharing expert knowledge. Face-to-face meetings and the openness of our guests made for an exceptionally fruitful exchange of ideas and best practices. 🤝

However, International Days were not only about meaningful discussions, but also about cultural exchange and discovering Poland together. We began the programme with an official welcome and a quiz about our country, followed by exploring the charm of Gdańsk’s Old Town and learning more about history during a visit to the Museum of the Second World War. A significant part of the event was dedicated to presentations by our partner universities and networking, which naturally evolved into highly constructive conversations. There was also no shortage of practical workshops and project sessions, during which we discussed internationalisation and explored opportunities to create innovative joint initiatives for the future.

We would like to thank all our guests, the University authorities, and our dedicated staff for creating such a professional yet genuinely welcoming atmosphere. It is the direct contact, openness to new ideas, and willingness to collaborate that make International Days so valuable. 💚

We are truly grateful to have had the opportunity to create this space for growth together, and we are confident that the connections established during these days will lead to many years of successful cooperation. We are already looking forward to the next challenges and joint projects. 👋

🇦🇱 Erasmus+ without borders!

During his Erasmus+ mobility in Albania, Mr Mateusz Grądzki, Deputy Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, also visited the Canadian Institute of Technology.

The meeting was a continuation of the existing cooperation between the two institutions. Discussions focused on further developing student, academic and administrative staff mobility. The partners also exchanged experiences on promoting the Erasmus+ Programme and encouraging more students to take part in international mobility opportunities.

One of the highlights of the visit was learning more about CIT Hub, which supports academic entrepreneurship, the development of student ideas and cooperation between the university, mentors and the business community. Mr Grądzki noted that many of the solutions implemented by the Canadian Institute of Technology could serve as valuable inspiration for future initiatives at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences.

The meeting also included discussions on future Erasmus+ projects, particularly KA220 and Capacity Building in Higher Education, as well as initiatives that strengthen cooperation between universities and their socio-economic environment.

We are pleased to see the partnership between Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences and its international partners continue to grow. We wish Mr Mateusz Grądzki and the entire PAAS community that the discussions held during this visit will lead to new joint projects and meaningful international initiatives! 💚

🇦🇱 Erasmus+ without borders!

Mr Mateusz Grądzki, Deputy Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, visited the Universiteti Europian i Tiranës , where he met with Megi Disha, Project Coordinator and International Relations Officer at the Office of Projects and Internationalization, together with the entire team responsible for international projects and cooperation.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the two universities within the Erasmus+ Programme, particularly in the areas of student and staff mobility and the development of joint international projects. One of the key topics was the possibility of welcoming nursing students from the European University of Tirana to Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, including English-taught courses and clinical placements.

Mr Grądzki also shared what impressed him the most during the visit. According to him, it was the scale of the European University of Tirana's international project activity. The university is involved in numerous international projects, while its project team contributes to an impressive number of new initiatives each year. This experience provides a strong foundation for future cooperation and the exchange of best practices between our institutions.

We hope the discussions held during this visit will lead to new joint initiatives and create even more opportunities for students and staff at both universities.

We wish Mr Mateusz Grądzki and the entire Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences community that the connections established during this visit will result in valuable international partnerships and future collaborative projects! 💚

During the English Division Graduation Ceremony, we celebrated the completion of studies by the graduates of the Nursing programme. It was a day full of emotion, pride, and joy, once again showing that Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences is a place where people from all over the world come together, united by a shared passion for the nursing profession.

During the ceremony, graduates received their diplomas, took part in the traditional capping ceremony, and made their solemn oath. Special congratulations go to the recipients of the Golden Three – three graduates who achieved the highest academic results.

The unique highlight of the ceremony was the traditional tossing of graduation caps, accompanied by African music. This energetic and joyful moment perfectly reflected the international character of our community and was a beautiful symbol of the completion of studies.

Dear Graduates – congratulations on earning your diplomas! We wish you that the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained at Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences will accompany you throughout your professional careers. Good luck! 💚
