We would like to sincerely thank Professor Żukowski for introducing our international guests to the history, traditions and academic heritage of PUEB. It was a wonderful opportunity to discover the University from a different perspective and to learn more about the places and stories that have shaped its development.

The 22nd IGWT Symposium and the 3rd ICQMSc International Conference on Quality and Management Sciences and Management Sciences have come to an end!

From 9 to 11 September 2026, Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Poznaniu Poznań University of Economics and Business hosted the 22nd IGWT Symposium: From Commodity to Quality: Shaping a Sustainable Future, held in conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Quality and Management Sciences.

The conference brought together representatives of 34 institutions from 12 countries: Poland, Austria, Bulgaria, China, Finland, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Ukraine and the United States.

🔹 3 days of international scientific exchange

🔹 6 thematic poster sessions
🔹 7 keynote lectures together with 15 oral presentations within 5 sessions, “Round Table” discussion, IGWT General Assembly and accompanying events.
The programme addressed key topics related to quality science, commodity science, sustainability, innovation, circular economy, product development, consumer behaviour, food and non-food product quality, and quality management.

We would like to sincerely thank all the keynote speakers, presenters, poster authors, session chairs, participants, partners and everyone involved in organizing the conference. Your presence and contributions created an inspiring space for international scientific dialogue and future cooperation.

🏆 Competition for the Best Scientific Poster

During the 22nd IGWT Symposium: From Commodity to Quality: Shaping a Sustainable Future, with the associated 3rd International Conference on Quality and Management Sciences, we will hold a Competition for the Best Scientific Poster.

All posters accepted for the Poster Session will be automatically entered into the competition.

🗳️ Each registered conference participant will receive three separate voting ballots at the registration desk and will be able to vote for three different posters by entering the poster numbers.

The ballot box will be located at the registration desk.

⏰ Voting will be open until Friday, 11 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
🎉 The winners will be announced after the last conference session.

The competition is a great opportunity to recognize outstanding scientific work, promote high-quality poster presentations and encourage discussion among conference participants.

Prof. Piotr D. Moncarz is an engineer, entrepreneur and academic teacher associated with Stanford University. He was a Senior Fellow at Exponent Failure Analysis Associates and, in 2017, was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. He currently serves as CEO of the Poland in Silicon Valley Center for Science, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, supporting science, innovation and cooperation between Poland and the United States.

📌 Presentation title:
From Lab to Market: The Silicon Valley Way

Prof. Moncarz is an engineer, entrepreneur and academic teacher with extensive international experience in science, innovation, technology transfer, engineering and entrepreneurship. He obtained his Ph.D. from Stanford University School of Engineering, served as Adjunct Professor at Stanford University and was elected to the U.S. National Academy of Engineering.

His keynote lecture will focus on the path from research to market, highlighting the Silicon Valley approach to innovation, commercialisation and science-driven entrepreneurship.
